So Tucker is leaving, we know this of him saying that he's leaving? Right? Right now all I see is someone telling a armchair that he's going to UGA. Unless one of you guys telling me he is going then I will believe it.

Don't know for sure, Rick. Sources weren't cited in the linked article. There sure is a lot of smoke at this point, though.

Smoke is just that, smoke. The smoke in the last 48 was Saban was headed to Indy.

I don't know if there's any fire to the smoke we're seeing. I have a few serious questions though.

IF this is true and Tucker has agreed to take the UGA position, why hasn't it been announced already? Because he hasn't agreed to take the job is my opinion. Now, we've talked for weeks about an NFL job opening and him going back to the league. All we can do is sit back, wait, and see.

The only person I've seen make a comment on this—that covers Bama—is Tim Watts. I don't have a membership to that site so I don't know what he said. (He's demonstrated having pretty good contacts, as others on that site do, but IMO it's not worth the money for the UI and UE.)

Nationally, one would suspect a guy like Mark Schlabach would have said something. He hasn't.

It's my opinion these two sites reporting this may be right in the end. As of right now, they're just putting this out there in hopes of being right.

Considering Pruitt is back, I'm not too worried. Just gotta get a new ILBs coach.

I'm quoting you to bring up an observation.

I seen fans mention this as if Tucker couldn't be slid to the ILB coaching position, or Pruitt couldn't take that position himself. Taking Tucker as one thought here...considering he was a DC in the NFL for seven years, my gut says he can handle the ILB's. While he doesn't have the same experience, Pruitt—as a DC—can handle that as well.

A defensive back coach leaving is a distraction versus a defensive coordinator leaving? Dew wat?

Everyone knew that Kirby had opportunities to leave this year and in the past. It's not a surprise. Tucker has only been at Alabama for a year. And now he's leaving? Players meet with the press everyday. CNS doesn't want the questions to center around coaching departures. The media tends to dig into reasons from players and it can be a distraction.

Texas A&M just overpaid for an OC, UCLA's OC Noel Mazzone. Coached in the SEC at Auburn under Tubbs and Ole Miss under Coach O.

UCLA fans are happy he's gone.

An example of how poorly UCLA (and perhaps the entire Pac-12) pays their coaches, Mazzone was paid $375k his first year, then bumped to ~$650k in year two. Texas A&M reportedly paying him $1M.

Looking at the audience in this video, do you think he's captured their attention with his speaking style? NZone system, LOL.

I didn't know UCLA hired Mazzone. Damn, tamu's offense just went from excitingly average to...excitingly average.
