Last week, reports began to surface that the Georgia Bulldogs, fresh off hiring former Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart as their next head coach, were going to dip back into the Tuscaloosa well and hire the Crimson Tide’s linebackers coach as their next defensive coordinator.

This week, a report is claiming that, through multiple sources, the Bulldogs still plan on hiring an Alabama assistant … just someone a little further back on the defense:

Tucker is in his first season with the Crimson Tide after spending the last ten seasons in the NFL. The same source is reporting that the Bulldogs will also be hiring another assistant coach with a familiar last name in coaching circles:

I'm really starting to dislike Kirby Smart. His idea of building a staff is taking all of Saban's staff? Georgia fans will be calling for his head after 5 years when he can't reproduce the same results, then what?

According to the above post, Mel Tucker is likely to join Smart in Georgia.

That article alum posted is citing a "source" found on Twitter ... who, at that time of the tweet didn't have a hundred people following the account and still, today, you won't find a legitimate news source following his "breaking news." That Twitter account was opened a couple of days before the tweet announcing Tucker to UGA.

I've yet to see any media member mention this fella ... giving me plenty of reason to doubt what he's putting out there on Twitter. A week ago I made mention in a thread about the article that it wouldn't surprise me if the author of the article is also the owner of the Twitter account and he's citing himself as a source.

Seriously?
I wouldn't put it past the guy.

Hell, we're just a year or so removed from Chip Brown tweeting "ESPN radio is reporting Saban is interested in Texas." A little research revealed Chip was on a local sports talk show, on a station who is an ESPN affiliate, and he said Saban was interested. Then, he turned around and tweeted himself as ESPN radio ...

I haven't seen a word of it since. Hope this is the case then.
