Kenny Roger's Roasters for me, as well. Any others I can think of I've been to.

But I can say that a 1 and done was Schlotzky's Deli. I ate there once back in the early 90s. It wasn't good...at all. And I've never been back. I also don't eat at McDonald's; although I did as a kid.

I've been there once, many moons ago. I don't remember a lot. I don't have a bad memory. I recall it being a unique twist on whatever it was I ordered. There's not a thing in that area I need to go to so being in the area...not too often. It's normally driving by that way to avoid a jam somewhere.

I remember eating at Kenny Rogers Roasters in Hoover/VH when I lived there in the 90's. I don't remember eating there more than a couple times. The place never really caught on around anywhere I've lived. Jimmy Johns a handful of times, but it's way, way down my sub choices list.

I'm trying to think of somewhere and only place I can think of is Starbucks. I know it's not really a food place, but I've never had anything from there that I can recall. Wife and kid will get the occasional cold coffee, so I've been in some... maybe I've had a water or Coke or something and don't recall. Now that I think about it, I probably did have a cold water from one in Vegas a couple years back during peak summer.

I love Popeye's but rarely ever go these days. They are filthy and usually being run by morons (see also Arby's). Back in the early 90's though, the one on Government St. in Mobile served what was without a doubt the best fast food (cajun chicken) biscuit in the history of of world. It had a little creole mustard sauce on it.... damn. Getting one in the morning on the way to school was usually the highlight of my day.

I check just to see if one was close to me. I was thinking maybe up North. No it's show no to the USA, and the most are in Asia. the last one close in 2011 and that was in California.

I will add this one for my wife.
Chicken Salad Chick, I ask her if she want to go to eat, but she always say no. I think it's because she know it going to be sweet.

Would be difficult to beat a Whataburger, IMO. If I'm starving, I'll get that double or triple with cheese with a large fry... that's a good (fast food) burger.

I will. We don't have one in our area yet but I think they are supposed to be opening one in 2026. I've almost stopped at the one off 459 in Hoover a few times, but there's a chicken tender place (Super Chix) on that exit I really like and always end up there instead.

5 guys makes a good burger but I stopped going there a good while back. I just don't care to pay that much for it when I could get a better burger at several restaurants around town for the same price or cheaper.

I love Whataburger.

Little Miss Van de Graaff likes Chipotle, so I end up there a handful of times a year when treating her to lunch. I always get their burrito with steak or chicken. It isn't bad for what it is.

Marcos is pretty good pizza, but I have to change up between them and Dominos (with an occasional Papa John's mixed in) because I tend to get tired of each of them.

I can't remember the last time I ordered a pizza.

I heard this deal on TV the other day where you could order a Dominoes and get it at half price, online. I looked. It was still $19 for a simple two meat, three sides pizza.

I didn't order. That's stupid. I will go to Walmart and order one from their deli before spending that money. I got it...still, doesn't make sense. (And I spend stupid money at nice restaurants.)
