| GAME THREAD šŸ†CFB- The Playoffs: Quarterfinals: The playoffs resume Thursday night

Son and I were talking about who would have been in if it were still a 4 team, like prior years. Our guess:

Oregon 13-0
Georgia 11-2 SEC champ
Boise 12-1 and conf champ, only loss a close one at Oregon
Either Penn State 12-2 with losses to OSU and Oregon, Texas 11-2 with 2 losses to UGA, Indiana 11-1 with loss to OSU.

Again just a guess for fun. So likely only 1 team that is in the final 4 would have been in it under prior setup.
We talked same.
For fun.

But i dont know.
Dont think osu or texas would be in

When has mountain west become major?

And acc is still a p4

Thats a 3-4 budlight discussion

Most of the ā€œexpertsā€ have just assumed UGA would become the new Bama. Kirby & UGA may be finding out how tough it is to stay on top. To me, that was the most impressive thing about Bryant & Saban - a DECADE of dominance.
And I may be wrong here, but I think that Alabama and Georgia have both strayed from what made them so good, which is an excellent run game. Imo, there was a time when both teams, when needed, could line up and run it down your throat.

IF they would have used the BCS system, Boise would have been ranked #9, Penn State sixth just behind Ohio State. Oregon, UGA, Texas, and Notre Dame would have been in the field.
