Friends: After four unforgettable years on the Alabama beat, I have jumped at an opportunity that was too good to refuse. On Aug. 26, I will become the regional editor of the Florence (S.C.) Morning News. My last day in Tuscaloosa will be Aug. 19. What a pleasure it has been to document this historic time in Alabama football history. I will always treasure connecting with people who are as passionate about football as I am about journalism. But a new, exciting challenge is ahead. I look forward to making a difference in a newsroom and a community.
 
You remember that piece he wrote which was an open letter to a friends little girl about Alabama football? A real quick search didn't lead me to any links here...
