🏈 Cam Robinson Injured 8/8 practice: UPDATE : returns to practice 8/9

About a week ago I dreamt there was an injury scare with our starting left tackle in preseason camp. True story.

Night before last I dreamt we won the title, but didn't get to play tOSU. tOSU lost their semifinal. Let's hope the second dream comes true too.

Would sure like to beat tOSU along the way, but if we win it without the revenge factor, I'm good with it.

Don't kid yourself. Losing Cam would be devastating. He's the most important player on this team. Yes we've recruited well, but guys as talented as Cam don't come around very often. He's special, and as I said above, could not be replaced. He's just too valuable.

My take is that although there are several guys on offense who could be NFL first round draft picks, and several more after that who will play in the NFL, Cam is perhaps the first pick in the 2017 draft. He's an amazing talent at a spot that is critical to the QBs success, but also key to the success of Henry and Drake. He'll make the QB look better, and will pave the way for Henry and Drake to eviscerate defenses.

What was the second sentence I posted?

Of course it would suck, but if you believe losing 1 player on a team of 85 will ruin the program then you clearly think we have one of the weakest programs in the country.

He ain't the only tackle on the team damnit. He may be the best... but he ain't the only damn one.

You guys know lots more about depth and the roster than me, but if losing one lineman dooms our season the team isn't very good anyway. I hope he's okay, but in big time college football things happen. We're going to have some guys injured this season. Every team is. I'd rather have a broken bone now than six weeks from now.
I have to agree with @TheChief. If one hurt player dooms us then we weren't very good in the first place.

No, losing him would not "doom the team." But, it may be the difference between. A great team, and good team. It could mean going to a bowl but not the play offs. We need our "ones" healthy. All of them. Especially the one who protects the QB, who unless it is a play of trickeration, touches the ball every damn time.
If Cam goes down, what happens when Ryan Kelly goes down? (And he WOULD go down.) do you not see the potential conciquences of the drop in talent? Look back to the 2010 iron bowl. Ask Brodie Croyle what it was like to have to have a offensive lineman who sucks, standing in front of him. When you type your answer here, do it in all "CAPPS."
HONK IF YOU SACKED BRODIE CROYLE

It's still stunning to contemplate that there were right tackles on the team who couldn't beat out Capps. They must have diseases named for them.

Capps lock?

You may have to remind me but that year, Shula was wanting to be proven right that Chris Capps was the best option but when he was injured before the LSU game, Shula had to sub for him and when he did, offensive production increased against LSU. We still lost but it was one of our better offensive efforts and Shula promptly inserted Capps in the lineup the following week.
