I didn't see it in my other post in this thread, but I may have mentioned it elsewhere...
He welched on a bet awhile back. Something like Bama not winning more than X amount of games in 2012 or something, and the bet was that he would leave Woolly for good if he lost.
Well he lost. Then tried to say he misunderstood the bet (an entire season later of course) but that he would leave anyway. He was gone for maybe a month before coming back.
Calling him a bet welcher really gets under his skin. I highly recommend it.

Love me some CAD in small doses. He will never, ever change. Its like the story of the scorpion and the frog. I say bring him back because he is entertaining for a while and then when he goes over the top give him the boot again. Let him sit in solitary, let him beg to come back, bring him back and let the process repeat itself. Message boards need some fireworks now and then. And when he isnt trolling he has some interesting stories to share.

I never understood why someone would bother with all of that. Just extremely pointless.

OK, I'll offer my thoughts, although I am 100% sure it will not be a well-received opinion, and most of you don't know me from Adam, although I've been around several forums for quite a long time - I just don't post often.
Altie is one of the wittiest posters I have seen on Alabama forums... he has a polarizing personality much like Kingpin did back on Tidesports. He is entertaining. He is intelligent (I suspect extremely so). He enjoys rustling people's jimmies, and he's quite good at it. He loves attention. He holds grudges.
He adds life and interest to an otherwise flat landscape of like-minded, well-mannered Alabama supporters. I think he adds an interesting dynamic, and he can be extremely funny if you understand his motivations.
Any forum is more interesting with him than without. He encourages discussion, via a multitude of channels. I was thrilled to see him here. Not because I love everything he says (a lot of times I can only shake my head and laugh), but because I know I will be entertained.
