Has nothing to do with Liberal or Conservative, it has to do with whats Right and whats Wrong. It has nothing to with white people but all to do with those who are closed and narrow minded like you @BamaFan334. I gave you two whites guys to enlighten you that one could have a good cause and the other a bad one. It wasn't just black players who boycotted, but also white. And I do believe Pinkel and the AD at UM are white as well. So it wasn't about white people its was about ignorant people such as yourself.
What choice did Pinkle and the other players have, honestly? 60+ football players on the team are protesting (which by the way, Monday was their normal day off according to Pinkle). Are the other guys going to sit out or continue practicing?
A little about me so you have some perspective. I'm almost 42, grew up in the Huffman / Chalkville / Trussville area. I went to Huffman Middle school (my mom at the time lived 2-3 blocks from Huffman High School) and transferred to Trussville in the 7th grade when I went to live with my dad. My parents were both born in the late 40's, my dad grew up in Tarrant (played football with Mike Hall), my mom went to Banks High. I've heard countless stories about racism from them, I don't agree with the time that they grew up in. I had some things taught to me about hate that I choose to change. Luckily for me, I joined the military ended up living in San Diego and worked with people from all over the world. I have kids, my view, if they want to hate people because of gender, sex, race, and/or sexual preference then that's on them as I refuse to teach them that nonsense like it was taught to me.
My oldest daughters friend at school is gay, his parents have practically disowned him. I still can't wrap my head around that, how the hell do you do this to your own damn kid.
And yes, I'm tired of the race card being played so quickly. I'm also tired of hearing about how guns kill people and we should ban guns...but that's a different topic altogether.
And while I'm on my "high horse", explain these tweets @Voice-of-Reason.
There is a much bigger game being played here, these ignorant students are just the pawns.

Yeah Yeah yeah, sounds a rant that turns me into a bigot, narrow minded, and ignorant joke. We've all heard a rebuttal like this before. Sounds like the talk of a guy that leans left and can only point the finger. And yes, it is a political issue, because your so called all encompassing view of acceptance and forgiving is reversed here where you're not so forgiving and accepting g and want a guy fired for something he could never ever control. Don't be so gullible to think this situation warranted a guy that's given his life to academia to be fired. Your approach to this entire topic was bogus. This group demanded things that were above and beyond racial in themselves. This is not going to stop racism from occuring, it's not going to stop anything other than a guy losing his job. I'd laugh in your face if physically possible, because your stance on this whole issue is weak, as is your attempt at a condescending remark towards me. Your attempt at creating a hero type atmosphere, like ESPN, is a joke, because this is not a defining issue for anyone involved. Nothing will change, guaranteed. This will be forgotten next week, just like the whole Northwestern unionization issue.
So now a chancellor and president has to account and be personally responsible for every verbal word a person on their campus speaks? I guess Freedom of Speech means nothing to you. Whether it's harmful words or not, it's still the basis for this country.
Hey I didn't make you sound ignorant you did that all on your own. I have no problem saying I voted for Obama, proud of that fact. Guess you want Trump to be the next president. lol I don't think anyone here is naive enough to think that this will stop racism, but for you to say let's do nothing is also dumb. I actually feel bad for this university president, but his 30 years in academia is not excuse for him to do what you are suggestion which it "NOTHING". Your thought process is "ok some of our students are being racially harassed hmmmm lets do nothing, it will not stop racism" how dumb is that. I just so you know, I never called you a racist or bigot, those words were never typed, I don't even know you, but I did think what you were saying was ignorant.![]()
Son I have nothing else to say to you, you obviously don't know the whole story of why all of this is happening. Maybe you should READ a little before you get involved. Because you are making yourself look dumber and dumber
Can anyone name a single thing redeeming quality that Missouri has showed since joining the SEC? I'll probably be rooting for auburn over Missouri now in all sports after seeing that latest, clown show video... and y'all know how much I despise auburn.
As for the President and Chancellor both resigning, they were both put in positions to lead that university, so if there are issues or problems, they are the one's who people look to for solutions. Obvious neither was up to the task, which means that is not a position they should be holding. If you are the head of a diverse university, than you should be able to handle the problems of your university. They for whatever the reason did not do that in a manner necessary to make students feel a part of the university. I goes along the lines of if a football coach doesn't win games, he could be a great guy, great ambassador for your school, but he's not winning.
