šŸˆ Being Optimistic About the Upcoming Season

I remember last season thinking that we were loaded and being very optimistic about our chances of winning the SEC and getting to another championship game. I knew our secondary would be young but what I did not see is how inconsistent our team would play and how our running game would struggle. This season I feel optimistic again but I also know a lot of our success is going to have to do with how well our QB situation develops. Do you feel more or less optimistic this preseason as compared to last preseason?

All any team can hope for is to be good enough to win it all, and then have nothing catastrophic go wrong. In 2009 we stayed healthy as a team and made exceptional plays when we needed them.

1) Patrick Peterson goes out for one play with a cramp, and Julio Jones exploits that for a score that broke open the game.

2) We had a 370lb guy block two FGs in the Tennessee game.

3)Marcell hits Colt McCoy is what has to be the one spot that would make his arm go dead.

This team can be just as good as that one, which was good enough...with the breaks. So YES, YES you can be optimistic, but I think its wiser to be Humble and and Optimistic.

the only reason i'm more optimistic this year as opposed to last year is that the defensive line and secondary "should" be better. i still have some concerns about the run blocking on the offensive line. strangely enough i'm not worried about the qb position at all.

Not worried about the QBs either. Every QB in every Hall of Fame was "inexperienced" immediately before they started a great career. And, we have two guys with great potential who are both playing well enough to be a starter for a National Championship contender.

Only thing im really concerned with is if we get a good lead.....will we take our foot off their throats.....finishing games is my concern. No concerns on defense at all.....our offense might take a few games to get clicking and a QB or both to get comfortable. If we can stay healthy and catch a few breaks, we should be there in the end.

I wasn't optimistic last year because I knew our secondary was going to struggle and the way our schedule was, but this year I'm very optimistic because our defense is going to stout including our secondary and our offense is going to be crazy. Both of our QBs are good.
