| MBB/WBB Basketball bringing back an old look for their LSU matchup

A great way to advertise to the nation how many great players our program has produced would be to gradually replace retired numbers with Roman numerals for newer players! Offering recruits/players a better chance at immortality in addition to NIL money could be a cool recruiting strategy, haha.
Interesting, but not allowed by rules.

I think a cool paint job with houndstooth hidden in it could be cool, or something as small as a white number with ivory white houndstooth pattern within the number would be cool and subtle. Overall I'm fine with our uniforms.
They did that once under Saban. I believe it was a Thursday night game that Nike promoted new materials in the uniform. 99% of the world wasn’t happy with Alabama playing on a Thursday (schedule was adjusted after the first game).

You and I remember things differently.

The first time I remember seeing the Houndstooth addition was Shula's last year. They wore the collar for Bryant's 315th celebration.

Nike did a bit in 2010 for a combat version...Houndstooth numbers (faint) on the front.)

Pretty sure it was Ole Miss and then State in '10.

I don't know about that instance. I recall the houndstooth collar and the Pro Combat for Mississippi State.

Two different events. I forgot about the houndstooth collar. I was talking about the faded houndstooth in the numbers (front and back) to promote Nike’s pro combat series.
