Bama wins it 10-8. The bats cooled off for Bama after I jinxed them in the 4th, but they did enough to get it done. Freshman LHP Connor Lehman saw his first action of the season (he's been injured) and pitched really well. With the stretch run and postseason looming, the more LHP's available out of the pen, the better... so it's nice to see him throw well in game action. The downside of that, following Lehman's appearance, Jason Jackson doubled down and put in another true freshman (Jack Ketchum) and things started to unravel... Bama went from a 10-2 lead to a 10-9 lead pretty quickly in the 7th. In fairness to Ketchum, it wasn't all on him. Conner Ball and Tyler Fay relieved and didn't fool any Bulldog hitters either. The Tide eventually turned to the high leverage arms of Banks and Ozmer to close it out, which they did with no issues (they combined for 2 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 5 K's). Up next for Bama, a trip to auburn for what should be a really good series starting on Friday.
