I could put some stats and such up but I'm not going to bother. Bama outmatches Mizzou (0-18 in the SEC) in every meaningful way and Bama gets them at home. While the Tide hasn't been in their groove for the last month or so, this is a silver platter opportunity to get some things right again, on the mound and at the plate. Bama is 9-9 in the league and a sweep would be very beneficial. On the mound for Bama, Fay get the ball tonight, Quick tomorrow, and Adams on Saturday.

@Brandon Van de Graaff Thanks for all you do to keep us updated.

There’s probably only about 12 people here that really care about baseball. And most of them probably tune in and watch most of the time, so updates really aren’t in much demand… but I enjoy it so I do it. LOL

I may not watch much of other Bama sports teams, but I love to see how they are doing in games and matches.

Sorry I probably say this every draft. I think the initial move to retain JJ was smart, considering he took a motivated Alabama squad to the Supers. But I think it'd be best to see who Vaughn can lure in and see better development from the pitchers. Last two years hasn't been pretty.

I agree. I'd like to see him move on at this point... unless I'm mistaken, this is the final year of his contract (not they they can't renew it obviously). Vaughn would need to make a really good hire, it could certainly be worse... and that's a concern. But at this point, I'm ready to gamble on a change.

Just a thought.

Why doesn't the SECN carry every game? Yes, I'd pay for it and not scroll through games I don't give a shit about on ESPN+.

I was wondering who Mizzou was putting on the mound tonight to make some joke...TBA is all I found.

If they stick with the guys they've been going with most recently, it'll be some combo of Kaden Jacobi (2-6 10.10 ERA), Tony Neubeck (0-2 21.60 ERA), or Ian Lohse (0-4 7.28). I think Lohse has been hurt though so not sure of his status. Bottom line, they ain't got a lot of great options, but I can understand them slow playing their cards and maybe mixing things up.

That was about as an ugly 1st inning as you could get. Coming back for the win was impressive. Fay struggled but I agree with letting him get the start. I’ve seen Adam’s win as many games as I’ve seen Stevenson make a 3 on the Basketball court. :p

It was a weird inning... Mizzou was swinging at almost every 1st pitch and Fay didn't adjust until after a mound visit before the 7th batter. The error on the bunt was a killer though. To Fay's credit, he rolled back out there in the 2nd and went back to work and got it done. When Banks came in to start the 7th and walked the first 2 guys (which is unusual for him), it felt like it was going to blow up again. Thankfully, Ozmer shut that shit down.
