| RECRUIT Bama Football Recruiting

So in basic terms - How many kids can we still sign? And who are those last spots down to?

I'm so out of the loop... Appreciate this whole thread, @T&B

5* DE JT Tuimoloau 6-4.5/277 WA hudl

4* S/CB Terrion Arnold 6-2/190 FL hudl

These are the last two possible additions to the class from the H.S. ranks. Some think Bama is in great shape for Terrion Arnold. He is highly coveted by Bama, UF, and UGA.

JTT is a west coast kid, and stays relatively quiet when it comes to his recruitment. Sounds like he is down to Ohio State, Oregon, or Bama. I dont think anyone knows what he is going to do.

If we miss on both I would suspect the staff will take a look at any interesting players that land in the transfer portal. There is a really good TE from Stanford that is in the portal now, but I have no idea if there is any mutual interest. Arik Gilbert is also a 5* TE in the portal, but he sounds like a Anoma/Alfano type with mental health issues. He's been told by a couple programs to look elsewhere. I highly doubt Saban would bring him in.

A couple other Alabama notes, per sources:
— The belief is that junior DB Josh Jobe, a potential Day 2 pick, will likely return to school instead of turning pro.
— Backup RB Brian Robinson expected to be among the seniors who return to school instead of going to the NFL.

Keilan Robinson is returning to Titletown this weekend. He kept in contact with the staff and they expected him back. He's been taking online classes and training with a family member (fitness guru) out West. He’s up to 200 pounds and has maintained his speed.

I LOVED KRob film out of H.S., and curious how they will use him this upcoming season.

quote:
Alabama- "I feel like they're one of the schools that fits my playing style and it's a really good home environment,” he said. “They have really good hospitality, really good coaches, and really good people. There is a lot of trust and I have a good relationship with the coaches. The National Championship was a very good game and it was fun to watch. Congrats to Alabama. I really talk to coach Sal and coach Golding, my position coaches. Coach Sal and I have regular conversations and coach Golding and I go over film."

Hate hearing this about Gilbert. So much promise. I watched him a lot at Marietta and never knew he was dealing with mental issues. Very sad.

J'Kolbe Bulock?

Frisco, TX kid.

Frisco boom, 35k people in 2002, over 200k+ in 2020. Frisco has their own division in high school sports. Rarely have to travel outta the area. Just crazy. Glad I'm not in that rat race anymore of North Texas.

We don't know his personal situation, but I wonder if there are any regrets about opting out. Obviously Najee was going to dominate carries regardless, but missing out on that title run had to be hard.

I'm extremely excited that he will be back in the mix though. For the first time in a long time we have some ? about who will step forward, so adding a talented dude with a little experience is huge. If Wheaton shows up, we have like 6 high level RB prospects (BRob, KRob, Sanders, McClelan, Williams, Wheaton). That is kind of crazy! Almost makes me believe someone won't be coming back... Who knows

Unfortunately I agree there could be someone transfer after spring or fall camp if they think they are falling behind the others. This RB room is unbelievable for the upcoming season. I wish they would find a way to get them all touches. KRob and Wheaton especially could probably line up in a few different ways- McClelan might have good hands also. All these RB's are uber talented. Dont want to lose any of them, and dont want any of them to waste away on the bench either. Sometimes I get frustrated that Coach refuses to find ways to feed super talented guys to keep them happy. For example I dont think McClelan or Williams got to tote the rock not even one time during the final garbage minutes vs Ohio State. What would it hurt ?
