🏈 Auburn RB Peyton Barber feels Tigers were better than Bama

"We should have dropped 60 on em" - Gus last season after the loss to Bama... Sounds like the same bullshit Barber was spewing to me.

Exactly. Players naturally adapt the personality of their coach regarding matters concerning football. So, also naturally, the auNeck players have morphed into ungracious, uncouth, bleating crybabies.

It's also what happened to the whole Fambly Of auNecks. I'm not old enough to know but, my father has told me that Shuggie Jordan was a man of little to no integrity that would never accept responsibility for a loss.

After each loss, he would come on his after-game show and cry and whine about how the rain, the refs, the field, the sun, the moon, the wind, lack of wind, ants on the field, smoke in the air, sick players, healthy players who might be coming down with something, or just not eating right that day caused them to lose.

There was always an explanation other than just not being prepared or good enough that day or coached well enough or having the right kind of talent or just facing a better team. This went on for two and half decades. auNeck fans were swamped with excuses for why their team didn't win games that they lost. 24 years of this programming and re-education.

It was so pervasive that it completely changed the auNeck fan-base, at that time, into a peculiar abnormality among all other fan-bases. So great was the brainwashing that those unfortunate enough to have been fans during Shug Jordan's tenure actually passed this poor, poor me attitude down to their little auNeck offspring. Rinse and repeat down through the generations and that is why auNecks are like they are today.

Sounds just like Gus. You almost never hear Gus genuinely tip his hat to the opponent and give them any credit. It's always about what his team should have done better. The players pick up the same attitude by example.
