hell i hope we wont go to a bowl game. lets end this sh*t.

*Sigh*.....do we have to explain the importance of the extra weeks of practice you get for going to a bowl every year.

Id rather just get the finishing touches on this 2008 class than win a meaningles bowl game, would it be funny if we ended up playing Louisiana Monroe again tho lol!

No bowl is meaningless, or all are, except for the BCS title game. As mentioned, the extra practice time will serve us well in 2008. Besides, it doesn't make sense to me to flip off a bowl game that will bring more money into the university coffers. I guess that's just the bean counter in me.

I'd love for the program to get more time to practice and get better for next year, but I'm ready to say goodbye to this senior class. Thanks for the efforts they put in when they did. No thanks for the times when self was more important than team.

So are we looking at the Indy again? I'm thinkin Music City.

I think if we had won tonight we could have gotten the Music City, but I'm afraid we're going back to Memphis -- if we're lucky.

We'll get either/or, because of the fan base.

The Indy Bowl will pick between MSU, Bama, and South Carolina. The Liberty Bowl will then pick one of the remaining two teams. One team will not get a bid unless a conference does not have enough bowl eligible teams to place a team in all of their bowl tie-ins, then there could be one more at large bid up for grabs.

The Indy bowl usually takes Bama above other teams because Bama fans bring more money to Shreveport than other teams.

Wouldn't sound good if we went to the Indy again, but it looks like we will play Colorado there.

If not it will be UCF in the Liberty.

I posted this in another thread, but my money is on Indy. I think if we had won, the Peach would have come after us.

Well, isn't the Indy bowl a step above the Liberty?

I wouldn't be shocked if the Music City came after us actually.

I just didn't realize the Peach would still be in the mix win or lose. The Peach would have been heaven for me.
