In your opinion....
Is Arch any real different than other 5 stars QBs....
Other than name.....
I've mentioned this a few times.
"Is Arch any real different than other 5 stars QBs?" Yes, and no.
He's different, yes, based on his family. It's the same distinction Jalen Hurts brought when he signed with Bama. Manning has his advantages because he grew up surrounded by quarterbacks in his extended family. Hurts had his advantages because he grew up with a father as a head coach. It's an inherent advantage for any player to grow up in a coaching family.
Several weeks ago when Iamaleava* committed to Tennessee I said "if he'd committed to Bama he's a take NOW." (sic) Jaden Rashada—who committed to Miami over UF, LSU, Ole Miss, A&M, et. al. over the weekend—is only rated a 4 star. But, he's in the same boat. He has the ability to be that featured quarterback.
"That featured quarterback." That's the key and Arch doesn't fill that need (of any team) better than other prospects on the board this season. Put Malachi Nelson in that group. Riley has a good one there. Oregon's Dante Moore looks good. Vizzina out of Briarwood is considered one of those types.
I'm not saying all of these guys will dominate the sport. Vizzina, for example, sorely needs a quarterback coach.
As a side note, but on your point, I've seen the notion that Arch would have provided more mobility than Holstein. However, those spouting that notion tend to be left speechless when they see SPARQ numbers telling a different story.
In the end, Arch is (or would be) a great pickup for any team. But, depending on situations, no more impactful than another highly ranked quarterback in this class.
* Iamaleava : I will rue the day we see rumors start about Iamaleava hitting the portal. The meme's that come from his name alone make me shudder.
