Just remember 2012 .. We were #1 and lost to TAMU, in our house. All hope was lost. And then .. out of the blue .. the new #1 and #2 fell the next week .. Oregon upset by Stanford, Kansas State upset by Baylor .. and Ohio State had some tattoo probz .. and there we were, back at the top, with Notre Lame. And then we beat Georgia in a rough game, and then we CREAMED Notre Lame.

Anything can happen between now and the playoffs. We just gotta finish in the top 4 and we are in. Ya gotta BELIEVE!!!

It seems that both polls see what a lot of us see here. Issues that are correctible. I like where we are sitting to be honest. We correct our issues, win out, and we are in. The SEC West is going to cannibalize each other. Barn has to play both Miss schools and us. FSU will either lose or beat ND, so one of them will fall. Then Baylor and OU duke it out in Baylor's only real test. Let's correct the brain dead penalties, tighten up our special teams, and become a "special team".

The barn still has to "run the gauntlet" and one of the Miss schools is guaranteed a loss in egg bowl. The Tide is very much in the thick of it all. Losing is a bitter pill that may well prove to be a cure for an ailment.

Baylor had best not look past TCU. If TCU wins this week, they have a pretty easy run after that, since they would own the tiebreakers.

Just win. Control what we can control. Our two toughest opponents come to BDS.

When we have our foot on someone's throat, we need to go for the kill. In our first possession of the second half we were in position to break their will. A TD would have taken the crowd out of the game, and taken a bit of the bounce out of their step. We drive the ball into their territory, then go backwards and end up missing a field goal. Opportunity missed.

I'll tell you this much. You'll never see a top ten like this in your lifetime again. :notall:

We are the top raked 1 loss team, and at most, only 4 teams now can finish undefeated based on remaining head-to-head schedules... and with it being October 5th, it's laughable to even think that would happen. Thurs night/Saturday was an absolute train wreck for the top teams in the nation...

All that said, our remaining schedule is still one hell of a gauntlet. We could just as easily lose 2 more than go unscathed.
