🏈 Anyone going to fan day today?

I'm here waiting in line about 10,000 people deep so far. It's upsetting see all these young kids with balls and helmets to get signed having to get in the back of a line filled with a ton of grown ups. No kids with them at all, just Hibbett bags full of stuff to get signed. Sure hope this 45 minutes will allow me to get my kids in there to get something signed.

I'd be willing to bet 50%+ of those kids are getting those autographs for an adult. Just curious, why should kids get first dibs?

Its fan day, not kid day :)

Because it means more to them than it does a 50 year old man selling it on eBay. Why are grown ups idolizing an 18-22 year old kid so much that they'd deny a child the opportunity?

it means a pretty good bit to me. and while i'm not 50 years old, i'm not from it. and i have never gotten anything signed that i would consider selling on ebay or craigslist or anywhere else. the autographs i get are for me and me alone.

and there was not 10,000 people there. i was pretty far back and still got all 3 of the autographs i wanted. when i walked up to Trey Depriest, there was no one at his table. and when i stepped over to Landon Collins, i was the 4th person in that line. then i went across the field (walked casually, didn't run or even walk briskly) to TJ Yeldon and i was about the 15th person back. and the lines were moving pretty quickly from what i saw. and less than 2 minutes after i got TJ's autograph i walked out of the stadium and there were no more people coming in. i got all 3 autographs in less than 3 minutes.

Well you got lucky, becaus

Well you got lucky because Amari Cooper and Yeldon had lines over 100 people long when I got in the stadium while there were only 35 minutes left. 10,000 was just a number, but I guarantee there were more than 5,000.

And I wasn't saying you personally, so no need to defend yourself. I do think it means more to a kid than it does for you. You'll never change my mind on that, because you're not running around the yard or at school pretending to be TJ Yeldon. I'm also talking more about the guy I saw walking around getting numbers signed to iron on fake jerseys while having his kids do his dirty work for him, and catching him saying 'we're gonna make so much money on eBay from this". And another guy I remember from two years ago even that had THREE bags full of stuff and two helmets he was carrying to sell on eBay. I know because I figured him out about a year ago. That's the people I'm talking about. I still think 16 and under should get what they want first and then maybe a canned food drive for everyone else to help make this an even better cause. In no way am I saying lock out the adults. There are kids that will never get to see a game EVER, and this is their only opportunity. I just think they get the short end of the stick die to greed at times. Not to mention I about laid a dude out that broke to the front of the line in front of my wife at Derrick Henry. Grown ass man, wait your turn like everyone else.
