I saw we had a big week with the 17 class picking up the commitments of three big men. I like where we are going with that class. Great rb and some big nasties to go with him.

This class is concerning. We are gonna lose most of our front 7 and be thin at rb and lb and I just dont see much talent out there.

I doubt we will but need to pull the instate trifecta with , Davis, Wilson and Davidson and then get Robinson back on board. Yulee would be a nice extra and then close with a suprise rb stud?

Also wanted to get the number of discussions off of the mark of the beast.. if you know what I mean.

One, it's not even the middle of June.

As to the front seven, look for around seven DL alone.

Last, but not least, why worry if our guys are from in-state or not? I certainly don't.

BTW, during Saban's tenure in Tuscaloosa right now we're "in" on more elite players than any other time I can remember. That covers...geez, a quarter of a century of following recruiting, closely.

Recruiting has been good and I am not worried about our staff as much as the talent pool. There just isn't very much out there. These three in state players are all 5 star talent and are important to us to just keep that in state dominance rolling. We are fighting an uphill battle with Marlon Davidson because he his a nephew of Carter the former AU Tiger, says he is open but don't believe it. I feel decent about Davis and Wilson.

We are very talented but very thin at Running back and Middle Linebackers for a team that runs a 3-4 base defense. And if we have an injury to Ragland or to Henry this year it will really kill us because the drop off will be much bigger than usual. And the prospects this year to help that depth just arent very good after the top 2 or 3 players unlike years past.

It worries me because it seems eerily similar to what to what happened to us at cornerback the last several years. We had kirkpatrick, and Millner for a few years and missed on the top few corners each year and ended up taking athletes and tried to teach them to play corner (Sylve, Washington Cyrus Jones, Eddie Jackson) and it has hurt us defensively. I believe help is on the way to fix that problem but we dont need to keep missing on middle linebackers and keep losing running backs to drugs, academics and injury.

I felt we were off to a very slow start a couple of months back, but patience is a virtue here, because we are all over a slew of five star's radars now. The Rivals Five Star Competition last weekend showed a bunch of interviews with players that have us very high their boards where we are 1 or 2 in their books. We will close strong, and like Terry P said, there's still a LONG ways to go.

No Question. And I think we will get our share but again I think talent is down this year.. there is no dshawn Hand, Byron Cowart, Nmdikie or Jadeveon Clowney. There isn't a Julio Jones or AJ Green nor is there a trent Richardson, Eddie Lacy or Fournette. There isn't a Tebow, Mathew Stafford or even an AJ Macarron.

The class is weak not our staff, and it is weak in spots we need it to be deep or we just can't miss on the top guys.

But there is a long way to go and these guys haven't played their senior season yet.. maybe there is some late bloomers.

Would be nice to somehow pull Dylan Moses away from LSU if it's even possible. Ben Davis would be another big pull if we can get him as well. Those are the two standouts in this class to me, but I do agree no large number of standouts like the last few years. We'll see though, cause they get their senior year to build more clout.

I'm down here for my son's youth camp and I will say this. There are several prospects on the prowl here. Juwan Pass, 4* and top 5 Dual threat QB is here. Top 5 DB Nigel Warrior or Nigel Knott was here as well.
