🏈 Another fun fact.

Ware is a great running back... the rest of them are decent but nothing to write home about. Ware runs in a style very similar to Eddie Lacy with a similar build.

However, if he got more playing time, Kenny Hilliard could be the best back LSU has. 'Course, I'm a bit prejudiced. I've covered Patterson High on occasion for the local newspaper and watched Hilliard since he was a pup.

Another interesting fact.... In recent years the visiting team has won this game more times.

Which makes me think of some funny statistic quotes:

“Statistics are like a bikini. What they reveal is suggestive, but what they conceal is vital.” Aaron Levenstein

and my person favorite
"If you squeeze statistics long enough, they will tell you what ever you want to hear!" unknown author...possibly Dick Cheney though

LSU won at home in 1969 and 1993, and lost every game in between.

There are lies, damn lies, and then there are statistics - reminds me of a diddy by one of my favorite folk, hippie, Texas influenced (and commonly drug-addled) singer Todd Snider:

LOVE Todd Snider...faves are "Alright Guy", and of course the classic "Talkin' Seattle Grunge Rock Blues".

Statistician's Blues says it all--argue all day til the game, but once they strap it on it's all out the window!

I heard a conversation earlier this year about a great running back duo that was going to give Bama fits. What were their names... Oh yeah, Chris Rainey and some Demps guy.

In all fairness, they were fun to watch. Both of their yards were explosive!

Here's wikis fun facts

The series was marked by a long stretches where the home team struggled. From 1971 until 1999 LSU was winless, going 0-14-1 in Baton Rouge. Likewise from 1982 until 2007, Alabama went 3-10 in the state of Alabama. In 1988 Alabama began playing its home game in t-town.
