🏈 🏈 NFL Playoffs Thread

Not an argument. Basing it off reality. Personally I like Allen and Stroud, but they play football, it gets to the point where they can either perform at a Super Bowl level or not. To date, neither has proven they can.

If that's the measurement you want to use that's fine. But this is just Stroud's 3rd season. Seems he's got some time to work with.

Texans defense is playing exceptionally well, despite the offense holding them back. Could have easily folded that last possession after the fumble, but their mentality is so different. Almost as if they get stronger when the odds are against them.

I do wonder how it would have played out if he’d been the 1st pick & Bryce had went to Houston.

You may remember after his rookie year (both), tons of people had crowned Stroud as the next Mahomes and labeled Bryce bust. Personally, I think Stroud ended up in the better situation to start but Bryce survived a shitty supporting cast, among other things, and is now on track to becoming a really good NFL QB. Both still need a weapons upgrade (or better team injury luck), but they have the abilities to get their teams where they want to go.

Meanwhile, their classmate Carson…..

Stroud had a terrible game. The Pats shut down the run and forced Stroud to beat them. Plan worked. They could have had 7-8 INTs bet ended up with only the 4. He looked like he had no confidence in his throws. Their run game usually carries them but they couldn’t get it going today against that Pats front. Houston’s D played a great game but it’s not reflected in the score due to the pick-6 and all the short fields the Pats had.

Bryce is a cerebral giant over Stroud. Stroud has every advantage over Bryce, but Bryce blows him out of the water in my eyes.
