šŸˆ NCAA / SEC Transfer portal news.

I didn’t know if it was better than him getting a regular job. Seven years, he should at least be a sophomore by now.
I hope he's taking this money and banking a lot of the sum. I don't know a lot about him other than seven schools and two of them were SEC. I think it's safe to say, "he's not playing in the league." So, maybe it's that last hoorah and a little more cash?

My Dawg!!!🤣🤣🤣

This one I know. When I was about 50% remote I saw her a couple of times a week at the cafe finishing up her story for the next day. She'll get that special tingle with Dabo; literally, I've heard her say so.

Here she really thinks this is a man "calling out" another man and she's getting hot. No doubt in mind mind.

Quite frankly, when I see a coach talking about another coach behind his little pulpit from 100's of miles away? It doesn't sit right with me.

Let's step back a few years; Dec of 2020. Tensions were HIGH about whether we were see basketball with all the Covid bullshit and Oats made his comment about whether Coach K would feel the same (about delaying play) if he had not lost two OOC games. We learned something about Oats that day, he was as brash as we were beginning to believe. It was still bullshit. A coach running off at at mouth, frustration overwhelming reason, all because of what he was dealing with at the time.

In this case with Dabo? Personally, I see it as one more little "tell" he's rattled; mentally.

Dabo and Lane has same agent. Interesting isn't it. But I do agree that Dabo seems.... off. I wouldn't be shocked if this fall is his last season coaching in college football.

Their agent? I didn't know that was the case. I'm sure at some point I've looked to see who each coach had working for him. It didn't mean enough for me to file it away. This, with coaches and contracts and agents, dances every night with my feelings on the portal. I don't want to "be in that world" of learning about who these guys are, who they work with, and on down that line. I could separate it with 'just the coaches.' Now, it's everyone.

Interesting? Yes, but probably from a different perspective. Raynor I know. Chase, I know OF.

For a long time.

Chase has been covering Ole Miss for over 15 years. A LONG TIME. I know he graduated from there. He was one of the early guys covering Ole Miss when Scout.com launched. He jumped to ESPN, then Rivals, now with 247: all Ole Miss.

When it comes to things around Ole Miss I don't doubt he knows what's going on. That comes with a caveat. The guys that cover Ole Miss and Miss State are a different breed. (Remeber Steve Robertson, a State guy, going balls to the wall after Ole Miss with Hugh?)

What's really crazy here with Shane is he is partnered up with Tyler Siskey now on a podcast. Do you remember when Freeze was talking about a Bama staffer being in the Tide press box with binoculars looking at the Ole Miss sideline...making the point it wasn't a coach? Tyler Siskey.

Shane has an article up about this on their site. It's behind a paywall. 247 if anyone has a membership or wants to go through the trouble of a trial.

How many of these ā€œagentsā€ work. Good on Dabo for throwing the dirty laundry into the street.
Are you saying this thinking it will add more fuel to the fire you'd like to see burn through the NCAA mess?

I don't quite get the gist of why you think it's good.

There's a few things that catch my eye.

  • Dabo throwing this out knowing it was from Lane. Some might think "strange bedfellows," to which I'll remind them "fox in sheep's..."
  • Lane, after Golding like that? I mean, I wouldn't put it past him. Is Pete under his skin that badly? Already?
  • Shane is now running, intimately, in Neal McCready's circus. I would bet would could find a comment where he's coddling Neal's balls.
  • What this does do is give a lot of Bama fans another chance to bang on Pete so they continually avoid acknowledging he's still done a pretty good job. (I do not expect him to do well as head coach. Organizational skills will be his downfall: an opinion I draw from things outside of football and his time in Tuscaloosa.)

I’m for any coach exposing any of these shitty ā€œagentsā€ for their unethical practices, which is usually includes at least some form of extortion (for lack for a better word). I'm not sure how much this particular agent was involved in all of this, but I bet it was more than he was admitting. He was sure right in the middle of it.

I don’t care as much about the actual tampering part of it. Everyone is doing that for the most part and it’ll continue until/unless there is actual rule enforcement against it (which at the collegiate level would be next to impossible). The only realistic firewall will be contracts that lock players in and cost their (potential) new school $ if they transfer. But Dabo was 100% correct when he pointed out that there are different levels of tampering, and this case was on the extreme side.

On Kiffin, I have my doubts he’s involved. Does he have the motive to be involved? Sure. But why bother? And from the details Dabo gave, it doesn't sound like his help was needed. So I'm not buying that he had a hand in any of it absent some evidence of such.

No idea who Shane is or what he an McCready have to do with any of it... lost me there.

With these two (and they're not alone) I no longer can come to any conclusion without doubting myself. Their "stories/careers" have been so unstable as of late: Lane the lead author.

Gotcha. If I could I'd light the fire like a Tesla.

Just my perspective of it, I don’t see how or why Kiffin needed to be involved. But he’s built the reputation he has over many years worth of unethical and immature conduct so he’s more than earned any scrutiny that comes his way.

I miss this news. Y'all remember Jaden Rashada? He's headed to State.

Geez, he was on UGA's roster, and at some point wanted to be on Florida's but there was that NIL dispute. He was, at one time, committed to Miami. I know he was on Arizona State's roster for awhile: started his collegiate career there, I believe. Last season he was at Sacremento State.

From what I remember they have two guys in their QB room. A sophomore who threw less than 100 attempts last year and a guy who transferred in from FSU. He's a year older but doesn't have any more experience.

Looks like Lebby is going to have an interesting spring.

(They are not on Bama's schedule this fall.)

Who’s not on Bama schedule this fall?
