Tider Insider reporting that Alfy Hill will leave ECU, enroll in JC w/ plans to return to Alabama eventually.

too bad he has to go through all of this, wonder why he didn't just stick it out for a year at Bama w/o a scholarship. I mean, surely the school could give him a cheaper rate for tuition....I know they do it for all kinda folks.

I don't know the full story, though I'm sure there are at least a dozen reporters trying to track him down to get the scoop on 'the why's' right now... Selfishly, I'm glad to see that UA is back on his mind. The kid has a tremendous upside on the field, and will likely be an impact player wherever he ends up.

I was kind of confused by all of this as well. As I understood it he could have taken a suitable substitute course and re-enrolled at Bama in January.

I hope everything works this time for him. As Porter said, he has a tremendous upside.
