Sadly, I never ate at the Jacks on campus during my time in Tuscaloosa, or even when I come to town for something. Always busy though. Is it any good?
That's un-American right there. For all the rural areas and one horse towns in Alabama, there may not have been a McDonalds, Burger King, or even a Hardees, but there was a Jack's somewhere nearby. I would turn on the afternoon kids tv lineup, turn on Cousin Cliff, Cowboy Johnny Evans, Bozo the Clown and shortly thereafter they would have you singing along with these words:
"Jacks hamburgers for 15 cents is so good, good, good,
You'll go back, back, back, to Jack, Jack, Jack's,
For more, more, more!"
