| FTBL šŸ˜ Alabama Roster and Portal Management Chart

Isn't it the GM's job to do all of this so DeBoer can coach? A good 9-10 months on the job to set up for a good 12th month. Anyways, may not always need that Alabama talent, but when you do, it's nice to have a track record of success and not letting your arch-rival just take it.
I didn't want you to think I was ignoring you. It was lot going on this past spring. They have been working hard to build relationship since the staff was new. Everyone was new. they were introducing themselves to the school and all. It is not easy to pull in state kids your first year on the job. They were busy keeping the roster intact. I just think everyone should show grace to the coaching staff, and give them kudo for nagivating through their offseason in Jan, SPring camp, transfer portal in April, this past season, and now this.

Secondly I think the instate recruiting has been little overkill reaction for the most part. Saban always said get the best kid on campus.. didnt matter where he came from. But for 2026, you know CKD will work on getting few players.... Not worried at all.

This is great interview: What does the future for Alabama football look like? An exclusive interview with Crimson Tide GM

Morgan: I think our plan, in any year, is to recruit the best players. We were behind with in-state players. We made a point to go after Micah DeBose. Offensive linemen, theyā€™re hard to find. So you get a premium in your backyard, you go get them. A lot of the kids, we were just behind them because (Auburn coach) Hugh Freeze had been there for a while. But we tried. We donā€™t sit around and look at the map and say, ā€œWe need to get X amount of players in California.ā€ What we try and do is to find the best players. And once we find the best guys, we go get them.

I don't disagree with you and everything this staff had to undertake when taking over for the Best To Ever Do It. Please don't take my posts as being upset with any of these guys. I support our staff and attempted to calm concerns when a lot of others were flying off the handle throughout the season. I don't want to downplay the in-state recruiting piece. Alabama is blessed to be surrounded by talent with Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi and this staff will need to learn to manage those states more than any others. That's where those beast offensive and defensive linemen come from, and that's something we missed in spurts this season. I only posted that graphic because someone else had brought it up a week or so before, and I saw the graphic and just posted. I'm more concerned about our lack of reach in Georgia than Alabama, BUT Alabama is quickly climbing the ranks recruiting wise as far as high school talent, so it shouldn't go overlooked.

Oh no, I never get upset unless I see a fine ass woman walking by knowing I missed my chance.....

And while I'm on the topic of ILB's, wanted to go over how we sit in next year's room. Likely have Lawson back, so that's a clear cut starter. But who's gonna get that spot next to him? It's gonna be fun to watch it unfold during the spring, we've got a ton of talent sitting there that could get that spot. Jeremiah Alexander is a guy I think could push for that starting spot, he's looked pretty good when he's been able to see the field. Another is Justin okoronkwo, guy is a thumper like Hill-Green.... just a bit more raw at the position, but he'll be a good one. Then there's cayden Jones, Sterling Dixon, and Qb Reese in there as well. Maybe one of the freshman coming in? I've talked about him before, but I'm super high on Luke Metz as a player..... kid is gonna be a stud.

Ultimately, I think the starters will be Lawson & Hill-Green, and Alexander & okoronkwo as the reserves to start the season, but we'll see. Dont count out Alexander for that starting spot, he has a good spring, it could be his.

And one last thing since it just crossed my mind, since Justin Jefferson came from junior college, would it be possible for him to try and get another year with us after the pavia court ruling? Thanks in advance.
