Believing everything you read? Just askin'...because a lot of what you're saying doesn't fit.
I agree. EXCEPT... I think it's sorry thatSaban never sat these 2 dudes down and had a real conversation about where they stand, what they want their QB to do, and if there's a possibility of playing both.
Yet, Saban has said he and Jalen have spoken about the position. We've heard it time and time again. We know Saban sits with every player in the off-season.
No. What's being suggested here is simply not the truth.
"Jalen actually came to me and said ... 'I am going to be here. I am going to be here. I came here to get an education. I graduate in December, and I'm going to be here,'" Saban told ESPN.
Jalen has admitted to such.
If there's ever a situation where a player has been treated fairly this is a case. He was told you're going to have to compete. It'll be settled in the fall. We've
all known that and Jalen has as well.
Not a good look for Jalen to do this publicly but apparently he was muzzled by the program since the title game. Then Saban goes to media days and 2 days in a row makes what Jalen feels were misleading remarks about his future at UA. So I don't really blame him.
Again. Simply not true.
Tua had interviews at the Elite 11 but Bama players are muzzled. BUT, wait. Jalen had interviews at the Elite 11 and he's muzzled.
Friday night, Hurts explained to the Elite 11 high school quarterbacks how he could navigate such a challenging emotional dynamic.
āNothing is ever about me,ā Hurts said. āItās always about my team. I always try to put them first. I canāt do it on my own. Treat your teammates the right way. We went to a leadership thing at IMG (the previous offseason), and one of the key things that I took from it was, to lead, you have to be able to love. Iām not a soft dude or anything like that, but when I heard that, it helped open it up for me. I thought, if thatās what impacts my team and thatās what makes everybody else better around me, than thatās what I need to do. Thatās how I can better myself by actually opening up and loving who Iām with and who my surrounding cast is.
āI try to be humble and I try and do the right things. I was always raised that itās right to do the right things. It sounds generic and stuff, but itās real. You know right from wrong. Everybody in here has parents or someone who has raised them and taught them this is the right way to do things and this is the wrong way to do things. And regardless of whatever that situation is, youāve got a decision to make about whether to do it the right way or not.ā
