Tied with Oklahoma State. Ahead of Texas A and M, and that in itself is cause for celebration. The Tide came into the meet ranked 11th. Every coach and team I know, in track and cross country, is pleased if they finish where they were ranked or a bit ahead. This is an awesome result for Alabama. Women finish 19th as well. Thanks Ramona.

In the FWIW category, Oregon won the title for the men and the women. The men have Edward Cheserek, freshman, who will be trouble for the next three years. He won two events (20 points) and will probably be good for 30 points a meet for the next three years. Not good news considering he runs for Oregon, who is going to get points without him. Tough sledding for the Tide, but it looks hopeful with Brown and Humphrey, et al.
