The Crimson Tide welcomes three signees who make up the nation’s No. 1 signing class​

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama men's golf head coach Jay Seawell announced Wednesday that Michael Crocker, Nick Gross and William Jennings have signed National Letters of Intent and will join the Crimson Tide program for the 2024-25 season.
The trio makes up what is considered the top-ranked class in the country and was ranked as such by CollegeGolfCommits.com.

Michael Crocker | Mobile, Ala. | McGill-Toolen Catholic HS​

  • Ranked as the No. 6 prep boys golfer in the state of Alabama
  • Second-team all-state honoree by the Alabama Golf Association
  • 2023 Alabama Boys State Junior champion, securing his wire-to-wire victory this past July with a 12-under par 204 (66-68-70)
  • Finished T12th in the Alabama State Amateur championship and also recorded a 12th-place result at the Gator Invitational
  • Had a top-15 finish at the Tommy Moore Memorial in Louisiana
  • Named the Mobile area Athlete of the Week for the week of April 23, 2023
  • Played quarterback for his high school's football team before electing to turn all his focus towards golf
  • A four-year letterwinner at McGill-Toolen Catholic High School under head coach Jeff Williams

"Excited to have Michael on board. He is the reigning Alabama state junior champion and a multi-sport athlete which is something I love to have. He was a quarterback at McGill-Toolen early in his high school career so I think he brings great athleticism to our team. He has a lot of upside that I am really looking forward to tapping into once he arrives on campus."

Nick Gross | Downington, Pa. | Downington West HS​

  • Currently ranked No. 1 in his class in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) and No. 2 in the Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS) rankings
  • Also ranked No. 8 in the Rolex AJGA and No. 16 in the Golfweek junior national rankings
  • A three-time Rolex Junior All-American including earning First Team honors in 2023
  • One of six junior boy's golfers to be named to the United States 2023 Junior Ryder Cup team
  • Was also selected to the 2022 U.S. Presidents Cup team
  • Earned medalist honors at the 2023 AJGA Simplify Boys Championship at Carlton Woods, winning the event with a 54-hole total of 205 (70-69-66)
  • Of his 10 events played on the AJGA circuit in 2023, he earned four top-10 results and seven top-20 finishes
  • 2023 AJGA Simplify Boys Championship medalist after finishing second in the same event in 2022
  • Finished in third at the Polo Golf Junior Classic this past June and followed that when he tied for eighth overall at the Boy's Junior PGA Championship
  • Advanced to the quarterfinals of match play at the 2022 U.S. Amateur Championship and finished in eighth overall in stroke play at the 2023 U.S. Am
  • Recorded a third-place finish at the Junior PGA Championship in 2022
  • Captured the PIAA Class 3A state golf title as a sophomore with a 2-under par 69

William Jennings | Greenville, S.C. | Christ Church HS​

  • Currently ranked No. 8 in the rankings according to Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS) No. 11 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR)
  • Also ranked No. 13 in the Rolex AJGA and No. 9 in the Golfweek junior national rankings
  • A 2023 Second Team Rolex Junior All-American
  • Started and finished eight tournament on the AJGA circuit over the past 2022-23 season, and collected three top-five finishes and six top-20 results
  • Helped lead Christ Church High School to the program's ninth consecutive state championship in 2022, finishing runner-up with a 3-under par 141
  • Finished in third at the 2023 AJGA Team Taylormade Invitational
  • Closed play at the 2023 AJGA Wyndham Invitational in fourth overall one year after finishing in fifth place in the same event
  • Earned a runner-up finish at the Bobby Chapman Invitational in 2022
  • Finished seventh overall at the Terra Cotta Amateur Invitational
