Both championship level teams. Both played about as perfect of a half of football as you could have. Us jumping out on them like we did, everything we dialed up just about worked.... offensively and defensively. Defensively had Beck in a blender all half. Giving him different looks pre snap, and getting home on our blitzes. There was one where we had Q-Rob eat up a guard, and had Lawson loop down to the B-gap, which was wide open. Free range to Beck, and got a sack of it. Then get a safety due to the pressure we were getting because of these blitzes. Beautifully drawn and executed that entire first half. Etienne got a few good runs, but we played pretty soundly against the run most of the game. Fit their gaps wells, and did a decent job of stacking and shedding blocks and making a play. Offensively was just damn near perfect. Milroe played a fantastic game, and his only turnover came off a ball that was catchable, but just didn't go our way.
2nd half was a completely different story. Georgia kept chipping away, we'd get them to fourth down numerous times, and could not get them off the field. Georgias a team that will come back on you if you do not put them away. And credit to them defensively, they adjusted and for the most part shut us down for most of that half. Kept everything in front of them, and didn't allow milroe any busted plays. They picked on Zabien brown a lot, and it worked(until that last play....fuck you Georgia). Combined with making mental errors throughout the half, like the one where Sabb tried to jump a throw, and allowed Bell to get behind for that go ahead touchdown. They take advantage of any little mistake you make, and to be able to come back from that deficit is an accomplishment(but still, fuck you Georgia).
Both teams showed me that if they can fix those mistakes, they can win a national championship this year.
