I agree. Just ...strange to me...but. You touch the trigger...bang.
But ....thats Glock
Well, ā€œtouchā€ isn’t completely accurate either. Most glocks that aren’t modified require around at least 5lbs of pull. That’s not a slight ā€œtouchā€

I think in some of the New England states, the police glocks are required to have like an 8 lbs pull. That’s nuts

Reading more about the heavy trigger pull, NYPD implemented the heavy pull for officers that were transitioning from a wheel gun to a Glock. Im assuming changing from double action/single action to striker fired was the problem.

Ok. Firing in a target situation and life threatening is different. Touch gets a wider range....
But gotta ya

It’s different, yes.
Shooting for marksmanship vs shooting to ā€œwin the fightā€ are completely different mindsets.

None of my carry pistols have ā€œlightā€ trigger pulls. I don’t shoot them for small groups at 20-25 yards. They are utilized to put holes in target within 10 yards fast. I also don’t carry a small amount of ammunition. At least two extra mags are somewhere in reach.

Speaking of fast accurate shooting, have you tried out some of the red dots? Makes all the difference in target acquisition and follow up shots

Yes. Have one on my sig. really like it. Batteries are pretty long lived. But bought a large card of them. And pretty easy to change out. Plus my red dot has several setting of brightness. Really like that

So true. When I was training with my cousin (former LEO and certified trainer for departments and tactical teams), we'd train target (slow) and threat (fast) shooting. Target was for creating muscle memory...slow and careful shots. Threat was for putting holes in the right person in the right places...fast, deliberate shots s tight as possible within a very short amount of time.

Both of my pistols have light triggers. But they both have an external safety. And the 1911 obviously has the grip safety as well as the thumb safety. My Sig just has the thumb safety. But it does its job (I test it every time I go to the range). As well, I also carry an extra magazine with me every day.

My Sig came with a red dot. It took a bit to get used to it, at first. But now I'm pretty quick with acquiring it and putting rounds on target.

As far as Beretta goes...STICK WITH THE ONES MADE IN ITALY!!..

Oh yeah, I know.

I'd love to buy the M9A3 my best friend has. He's never shot it. I've offered him what he paid, plus some extra. But he just won't budge. But I can guarantee you that if I DO finally take it off his hands, I'll shoot the shit out of it. I don't believe in safe queens. Every gun I own has been shot multiple times on multiple range trips.

Wilson Combat makes a an excellent Beretta Centurion (see pic) & Langdon Tactical has cornered the market on the Beretta modifications/improvements.. Either will hold up to anything made in Italy.

Wilson makes great stuff..
I was mainly referring to the horrible QC issues from Tennessee and (pre move) Maryland guns.. The American company seems to have mailed it in up to 5 years ago.. A lot of the guns I've seen, people had to mail them back..Mostly bad finish and fit issues..

I follow. Wilson & LTT make immaculate trigger jobs for the Beretta M9/92 etc. I am seriouslly looking at the PX4 with modifications sold by LTT. Langdon, himself, put that pistol through the ringer to make it outstanding EDC. He did so because he knew that the 92g models are NOT good EDCs unless you wear a jacket w/ it holstered underarm. Anyway, I understood your point. I just injected for some folks to see there are some superior options.

I love Wilson's 1911 mags. They're built like tanks I've never had an issue with any of the ones I own.
