A Bama fan and a Tennessee fan were trying to navigate the interstate round Knoxville to get to the game on time. Unfortunately they both tried to be in the same place at the same time, resulting in a fender bender. The Vol fan was distraught about the damage to his car and the prospect of being late for kickoff. The Alabama fan took out a flask, filled with bourbon, and offered it to the OT man.

"Here, take a slug of this. It will help steady your nerves."

The Vol took a big gulp and handed it back to the Tide fan, who put it away.

"Aren't you going to take a drink too? " said the Vol.

"Not until the police get here and do their accident report."

Drum roll.

Don't we have 15 national championships? That site says 14.

Also, I did not know they never had a Heisman winner. Interesting.

We were there just a few years ago. Since they're 36th in that category, I guess that means all Heisman winners come from a total of 35 schools.

Check that - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Heisman_Trophy_winners#Trophies_won_by_school

38 different schools, but since Yale and Princeton aren't in the same division, that cuts them out. Then there's the Chicago Maroons...

I rarely ever think of Bama vs Viles without thinking about Jerry Duncan. He felt pretty much the way every true Bama fan feels. He said something along this line as our sideline reporter once in Neyland Stadium: "Listen to them; they hate us! Well by God, I hate them too. Back to you, Doug."

There's a few of us on here that are old enough to remember John Forney, Doug Layton and Jerry Duncan as our broadcast team. Ah, the good ole days. Their radio broadcast was the main way to listen to our games before TV took over.
