🏈 2026 SEC Schedules & dates have been released. It's one bye week for the SEC in '26

I have harped on the 2 bye week season since 2013. I think we got the second week off. (which is too early) but I have felt that CFB should start the season the last weekend of August and always allow for 2 bye weeks. Now that there are CFB play off games and the potential for teams in the top 12 to play 15 games or so............there needs to be 2 bye weeks.

With the additional conference game, I'm interested to see how the SOS for each team moves from this year to next. For Bama, the East Carolina game helps us, and surprisingly ESPN has FSU at 33 currently on its power index. ECU is in at 52. Chattanooga is FCS. Two losses in that regular season gets us in the playoff every time.

If I'm seeing this correctly, only LSU has a bye ahead of us, but like I mentioned in another post, Citadel tests aTm ahead of our game, and KY has a patsy ahead of getting us in week two, not surprising.

You know Bama has had that open dated before LSU for awhile. What you think about hte two drop and the two add? Knowing that Miss. St and thought dang cow bell are back!

I'm sure there may be more to the story that just what I see at first glance. Texas and Oklahoma are the only two teams that are playing two G6 teams. Everyone else is one P4 and one G6.
