| MBB/WBB đźŹ€ 2024-25 Pre-season - Tide opens the season Monday night

We had a similar thread last year, and like it, I will update this one with the movement as it happens and next season's roster takes shape. Obviously, all the players in red that are set to return, won't. And others will be added via the portal. But I'll keep this updated and keep track of it as it all unfolds. As always, let me know of any errors/mistakes.

Also, keep in mind, there are 13 scholarship spots available per season. As of now, Alabama is +2 (15 scholarshipped players), which means at a minimum, 2 of the following will not return.

Ballo and Avila intrigue me. I think if Nelson leaves Avila would fit his spot perfectly with his set of skills. Not sure if Avila would be interested in coming here. I know Ballo there's some smoke to the rumors I'd keep an eye on that one.

These are the kinda stats CNO loves, catch and shoot is his game and he's very versatile off screens can pop and shoot or pick and roll. His handles are good, passing is great and he's definitely a scorer.

In case you missed it when he entered his name in the portal he also said he didn't want any contacts with any schools. That tell's me he's following his coach.

Saint Louis though? I think with the exposure he's getting, he could parlay that into a good D1 run for a chance at the NBA.
The nickname "Cream Abdul-Jabbar" should be enough for everyone to hope he doesn't play for a good D1 team. Who would wanna hear that every week next season?

IF he doesn't grade out well after next season he'll have another year where he could look for another school. It would make his third transfer: in a world with no limits (sans SEC.)

I’m intrigued by Ballo! Give me that dude as a rim protector and maybe another wing, then allow Coach Oats to pair down the roster. I imagine he has been in talks with each current player since they returned Sunday. Hell, he may have had a few discussions on the plane on the way home.

Kris parker is entering in the transfer portal.
Saw an article yesterday in Tuscaloosa News that sort of went about making the roster for next season. With 13 scholarships available a year, we lose Estrada, add our 3 signees, plus the transfer guard, the need for 1, possibly 2 more transfers ( rim protector and wing), we were basically looking at 11 guys vying for 7 spots. Meaning 4 would be headed elsewhere. Hate to see any kid leave, but it is what it is in this day and age.
