Come on Scrape, go get some Arby’s and that will take your mind off it.

In another note, I opened up Vol Nation forums this morning. They’ve been a lot like us after we lost to OK. Someone opened a thread at 10pm last night that Nico might be leaving. Their $8MM QB. It was based on some strange posts he’d made and deleted on Insta or something. By this morning the thread was on page 9! 9 pages in 12+ hours. Nico isn’t going anywhere, nobody else will pay him that kind of money.

Saw this to, don't think he's leaving..... but watching them freakout is enjoyable.

Been seeing this for a couple of days. Who would think that one day the college football players would hold the schools to blackmail. Right now we have a teenager that is almost if not a millionaire!

The ironic part of it is, while the rabbit (players) got the gun from the NCAA/schools a couple years back, it's us (the fans) who hold the ultimate power over all of them. Don't go to games and don't watch on TV, and things will change. But, that's much easier said than done. Personally speaking, I'm not at that point yet where I can cross that line... which in a way, makes me part of the problem.

You'd think the guy said something insulting to my 'mama.' I can't point to any specific reason I don't like him. I just don't. In my ideal world let USC fire him, he gets the job in ATL with the Falcons, and now I can hate on two different things at once.

He's just not built to run a college football program and I really don't think he cares to at this point other than for the money. I'd imagine he will indeed end up in the NFL sooner than later.

On that other sideline, I'm really starting to not care much for Elko. I was mostly indifferent on him when he was at Duke, but he already seems to be neck deep in that Texas ego pool. I hope the undertow of reality takes care of him like it has pretty much everyone else before him...

I have not gone to a Bama game since 2005. Not for any reason but my health and all the walking! I will be watching the bowl game and I bet I will be watching the Bama vs. FSU on August 30th.

There’s still a few differences in the NFL and college football, but many less differences than there used to be. One of the big remaining ones is ownership and with that, return on investment. That is clear in the NFL, but it is worse than muddy in college. There is no real clear owner other than the NCAA and conferences. But they aren’t the ones that are funding the collectives that pay the players. The fans and boosters are the ones fronting the money and what return do they get? Some put the kids in commercials, so there’s some return there, some get to meet the players, that could be considered return. But again it’s muddy. And how long will big boosters keep throwing big money to get players with the main return being bragging rights? Guys with real deep pockets like to often show the depth of said pockets and have pissing contests, but at some point they wise up. The model now is very different and odd from a business standpoint. At least in my opinion.

Interesting thought.... How much value do you think the Bama brand has and how much value does that provide a kid? Value is all in what someone will pay.

A lot of team quitters and opt outs on the sidelines today… If I was the coach no quitter would be anywhere near my team..If you quit after the half, YOU WOULD TAKE OFF ALL THE FOOTBALL GEAR..
