maybe that explains Oregon State’s play tonight. They are awful. 2 teams ahead of us playing tonight, 2 convincing wins. I don’t have any confidence that Florida will beat FSU tomorrow, given both teams are without their starting QB’s.

Our hope ...besides beating uga....rides on florida n Washington state,..

Better make reservations for sugar bowl...in NO vs..
Ok state

Texas A and M set to hire Mark Stoops.

Miss St targeting Jeff Libby

Mentioned Stoops on Thursday, it apparently really escalated since then. Was told he really wants that NIL pot of gold though and has felt he pretty much reached his ceiling at Kentucky... not to mention some lingering disgruntling under the surface about some NIL allocation stuff with Coach Cal.

MSU moved onto coordinators and Lebby was the leader of them... I don't see it as a HR hire, but many at MSU would. The fact that he knows the ins and outs of Kiffin was a strong selling point... that rivalry means a lot obviously.

The domino effect from all this is... Sumrall was a leading candidate for the MSU job, but has been waiting for the Kentucky job to open. It is believed he will slide into Stoops spot, barring a terrible interview or another major candidate showing interest.

Lastly, the Michigan job is still hanging out there... most all outside the program believe it will open up at the conclusion of UM's season... Several big name coaches (some of who were mentioned with the A&M job) are waiting on that to happen... it is already set up to win with a strong roster, great resources, etc.

LOL, guessing here but IMO 1 of 2 things likely happened... the immediate feedback on the hire from the booster types did not go well... and/or, Stoops leveraged the job into getting more of what he wanted out of Kentucky (especially in terms of NIL $)...

There's also always the possibility that the idea of being around the weird Yell Leaders all the time became suddenly all to real and scared him away...
