| GAME THREAD 🏈 2022 - '23 Bowl Season 🏈 Game(s) Thread

I may be way ahead of you guys in the Sportsbook but that is very misleading. Made $500k on Marshall and have broken even on the rest. Those of you following my lead are doing so at great risk of your sportsbook cash. You would do just as well wagering on the other team. :D I am not very good at this. I do it because I never want to forget what would happen if I was wagering real cash.
You said the same thing at the beginning of the season! Didn't you lose all your money by the end of week three? :ROFLMAO:

I'm looking forward to watching the Arkansas game today. They've had their opt outs—including everyone's favorite, Sanders—but KJ is playing. I'm thinking it'll be fun watching how Kansas deals with him.

I like the over with UArk missing so many on defense.

I lost all mine about midway through the season. But, in my defense, @252BAMA losing his was the main culprit. I literally wanted to go broke to figure out how to "loan money."

On the brighter side of things we've now got a "broke" option where if a player loses all their money, they'll get a "loan," of sorts. It should automatically kick in and I'll have a record of who and when.

I think I have a way to have a bank as well. IE: You win $250K this season, you'll start next like everyone else BUT you'll have that to pull from if you go broke.

Well....i missed going to that one ...thank goodness..
I remember going to a usm game in birmingham...that we go shut out
They are rare. I go back a little before you so I can remember when they were common. Seventeen as a matter of fact in my first five ('53-'57) years being a fan. Eleven of them were in the three Whitworth years BB (Before Bryant). How many since then? Hard to believe for me but there have been but eleven more in those 65 seasons.

Speaking of shutouts, Saban loves the clean sheet. The one he didn't get is the one I remember best. I am convinced that he came to Tuscaloosa in 2003 determined to put the exact same 31-0 score on Bama that they had laid on him in 2002. When LSU bogged down with a little over 10 minutes left in the game and had to kick a FG making the score 27-0 instead of 31-0 which the TD would have given him, he was chewing 10 penny nails. When Bama kicked the late FG to deny him his shutout, I thought he was going to die of a stroke right there on the sideline.

Do you remember that scene in Major League when Cerrano is in training camp and after hitting a few bombs, Lou asks, "This guy hits a ton. How come nobody picked up on him?"

Steve Yeager's character then tells the pitcher, "Okay, Eddie. That's enough fast balls. Throw him some curve balls."

Bad, bad, bad swing and a miss. "Oh," Lou groaned.

If you're watching this Liberty Bowl, you look at this piggie offense and wonder why the team is 6 - 6. Then you watch the pigs play defense.

Oh...

Arky played good D the first 2.5 quarters, then it must have all gone to hell in a handbasket. Gave up 25 straight points. Went in church and missed the second half, couldn’t believe the score when I saw the final.
