| FTBL 🏈 NCAA / SEC Games of the Week 🏈 : Rivalry Weekend

There is zero difference when a cheerleader runs on the field with a massive flag after a victory and waives it on your field.

I think you and I both are a lot different than this new age crap, definitely agreed. Malachi Moore has not been a leader to me this year. I'm not "in the building" and behind the scenes, but I know what I have seen on TV more than once. Love the cancer victim video I saw from him, but actions on the field spoil that for me. Same goes for a lot of others that run their mouths all game long, especially the ones that make a tackle after a 40 yard gain. All that being said, I still believe to the victors goes the spoils and if there is no contact or aggressive approach of the other team, all is fine.
Lets agree to disagree on this one. We both agree to win with class and play with class. Just differ on what that means in this instance.

Actually glad to see the Longhorns win that one... Getting kinda tired of some crowning Elko already... I think he's good, and he may turn out to be great.. but 2 weeks ago, some in the media were acting like he was already some elite HC mastermind who was going to turn A&M into a championship juggernaut. Seemed a little early for that. Also seems like he inherited a pretty good football team in terms of talent.

Saban didn't help matters by his comments about him earlier in the year on GameDay where he said a version of "he's one of the best". They looked good at times, but looked more like I thought they would this evening. Glad they list. That's one out of our way to maybe get a bid.

They had 60 minutes to stop it and couldn't. Michigan owns them at the moment. I don't consider it classless to enjoy the spoils. Don't like it, stop it.
We aren't talking about those sixty minutes. We're talking about what happened in the sixty-first minute and thereafter.

Planting something on other teams mid-field logo has been a sign of intentional disrespect for years, decades. By no means are disrespectful actions and spoils of victory related or comparable.

Maybe grab Teague's opinion. Or consider Baker Mayfield and his personality.

It's definitely a sign of "we just won at your house". It's a move of arrogance, no doubt, but it is the spoils, because you don't see the losing team doing it. And you have to take into consideration the first sixty minutes, because without it you don't have the act...

Is it any different than Army stealing Navy's goat? Any different than running around the stadium with Paul Bunion's axe, or the oaken bucket? Any different than "F*ck Auburn, and LSU, and Tennessee too"??? All connotations to being superior to your inferior opponent.

Let me also add (amd edit) the Ohio State band halftime show weeks ago showed a bear dropping a duece that was the Michigan flag. No issues with that from anything I've seen or heard, but oh my, they planted a flag on our field...

It's the symbolism of it all. Killing someone is killing someone no matter how it's done. Is it different had Michigan planted their flag in the endzone right on the "O" of Ohio State?

No because I think the Arizona St player planted the devil pitch fork in the end zone at Arizona.

Rivalries is what makes college football great and different than the NFL. A lot of us dislike the NFL, so if we keep removing what makes college football great, you only have the NFL look.

In the end, punches are thrown and people are shoved during the game and even before the game, so it's not about flag planting. It's about people unable to cope with an outcome. Ryan Day did a horrible job handling the situation as did Mike Norvell.

@mando @BamaFan334 Looking at it from a different side: If a Biden fan pulled up in your yard and planted a Biden sign in your Trump display., and you were outside and saw it happening. What do you do?
The references to the OSU Band happened at OSU's place (a little different, kinda like what you say at someone else's house compared to what you say at your own house).
I see both sides, but being the calm, rational person I am, I would probably be in prison if someone came into my property & done something like that lol!

Yes. Very different. A trophy awarded to the winner and someone defacing your school's logo on your home field. It's aking to dancing on a logo pre-game; but definitely degrees difference between those two.

We saw what happened there including the aftermath. A fight (s,) players getting pepper sprayed ... but it's all good, ya know, spoils of victory and all.

I would say an analogy between FSU winning in BDS and their mascot planting the spear on the logo post game ...

Defacing? That's a bit extreme as it's not even tearing up the artificial turf it's painted on or smearing the paint, but I know you like to overexagerate at times.

The aftermath? Some cops peppersprayed someone? Yeah, because they have never been known not to take over reaching actions before, ever. Didn't need pepper spray in Tuscaloosa, Raleigh, or Tallahassee.

Blame Ryan Day for sitting there and watching it and then applauding his guy's effort in fighting...after the game. A guy that makes over $10M a year, tasked with leading a program, and who bought a $20M roster, sitting there doing not a dang thing.

This is what a coach should do when his players do this nonsense. You may argue yeah will how many games has he won. Do not care he expects his players to represent themselves in a certain way and calls it what it is.
