I don't think Butch is going to be able to explain 6-6 to the faithful, given the talent and coaching overhaul they have gone through. Sumlin would be gone at 7-5 and Bielema as well at 6-6. Wow, Florida must have found a QB?

Don't think TN will be 6-6
The schedule is SECe weak...
Vandy. Missouri..uSCe.. KY
And 4 non conference weaklings including GT
Arkansas may be better
. AU has @Clemson , Bama @AnM, @ Ark, @ LSU n UGA...thats a tough road schedule... they have to win 50% of those. More likely a 7-8 win season but could lose all 6 of these

Damn! AD publicly puts Sumlin on the hot seat.

Aggies AD: 'Coach Sumlin knows he has to win'

DESTIN, Florida -- After guiding Texas A&M to three consecutive 8-5 seasons, Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin needs to do better, starting this coming season, according to athletic director Scott Woodward.

"Coach Sumlin knows he has to win," Woodward said during an appearance on The Paul Finebaum Show on Tuesday. "He has to win this year. He has to do better than he has done in the past."

Sumlin, 52, has a 44-21 record in five seasons at Texas A&M, 21-19 against SEC foes.

After the Aggies went 11-2 and quarterback Johnny Manziel won the Heisman Trophy in their first season in the SEC in 2012, they haven't finished better than fourth place in the SEC West in the four seasons since.

Kansas State 33-28 in the Advocare V100 Texas Bowl.

"Last year was extremely disappointing," Woodward said while attending SEC spring meetings in Florida. "We were as highly ranked as [No. 6] and got up there and played very competitive games and fell off, like we've been doing.

"We were very disappointed as a program, both Coach [Sumlin] and I, and we just want to make darn sure we get it right. We've had a heck of a spring. Recruiting continues to go well."

Sumlin has three years left on a six-year contract that pays him about $5 million per season. The Aggies would owe Sumlin a $10 million buyout if he were to be fired this coming season, which would have to be paid within 60 days of his termination, according to his contract.

The Aggies are expected to return 12 starters this coming season, fourth fewest among SEC teams, and they have to replace quarterback Trevor Knight and defensive end Myles Garrett, the No. 1 pick by the Cleveland Browns in last month's NFL draft.

"I have all the confidence that Coach is going to get it done, and he's going to get it done in a very convincing way," Woodward said.

The Aggies open the season at UCLA on Sept. 3.

I think Vandy will be better than 5-7.

I picked Vandy to lose to Kansas State, Alabama, at Florida, UGA, at SC, UK, and at ut. Which of those will Vandy win?

They went 6-6 in 2015 and lost their Bowl game to NCSU by 24 points to finish at 6-7. And their "one man wrecking crew" on defense is gone.

I don't know about the QB but Coach Bryant always said if UF ever got a coach they were going to be a tough out. Well they got one in 1990 and since then they are 20-6 against UGA. Why is that of note? Because prior to SOS, UF had never won the SEC Championship. And the primary reason for that was UGA. UF had made it to the UGA game still in contention for the Championship 17 times. They were o-17 in those games! Worst of which was in 1985(link) when they were ranked #1 in the AP Poll and lost to UGA 3-24! That has almost completely turned around. UGA could screw up free drinks at the WLOCP now.

They have to get a win over either SC, UK or rival ut. They could pull out one over K State. Just pure speculation on my part.

Vandy deserves the benefit of the doubt and the program seems to be hitting their stride under Derek Mason. They beat Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and scared the barners good down on the plains. You can't point at a bunch of SEC teams and just X Vandy off, it won't work.

Miss State will be as good as their talent lets them be. It won't be Mullen's fault, he's a good football coach. LSU were idiots to not go and get this guy instead of the position coach with a cute binder. If they've taken care of their defensive woes they too will surprise in the west.

FWIW, I know I should wait for the Preseason mags in order to have more info before doing this. But each year when the helmet schedule comes out I can't wait. To most, I suspect the helmet schedule is like you can't see the trees for the forest, but for me I don't see the trees very well without them being in the forest.

@252BAMA What's your call on Auburn vs Clemson?

I'm guessing you won't agree with this.

All five writers for Auburn's 247 site call for a W, including three saying by double digits.

I have the barn losing at Clemson. Might have picked them at home. Maybe.

The barn doesn't handle good Tiger teams in "Death Valley" stadiums. The last time they won at the one in Clemson was over a 3-8 Clemson in 1970. The last time they won at the one in BR, Nick Saban was still at Michigan State and Gary DiNardo was still at LSU. Over a 3-8 LSU in 1999!
