Referring to AU's schedule..who the heck is Furman? I mean really?

College in Greenville, South Carolina. They often dip into the state for talent. A buddy of mine (who got a raw deal from an SEC school) committed there. Said he loved the place.

Hey what's with the no off week before Auburn? Or am I reading this wrong?

:o we play @ Ole Miss (no surprise, I'm just remembering Bama played them at home in 08, was at that game...scary) This is going to be a tougher game than people will give it credit for.

[edit] I'm assuming this is a much rougher draft that doesn't include the off weeks yet, right?

I got this straight from UA Media Relations...so, no, not a rough draft.

notice how yet again, there are more open dates before playing Bama than any other team.

Better than the past two years in which 7 of the 8 were given open dates. Just 5 this year. Actually the aubies are hit hardest this year with 6 of the 8 having open dates. Seems the SEC is trying to be fairer in this because LSU, MSU, and UF also have 5 this year.Least hit are ARKY, UK, and SC with 2.

Yep, I did. That has been going on since the mid-60's, musso. Facts are, it doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon.

Alabama left such a deep imprint in the psyche's of these other programs and their fanbases that is very hard to overcome. In the dark recesses of their rotten minds, they still fear 'Bama and cringe when thinking of the domination that led to the scheduling irregularities that we still see to this day.

26 years ago the man died that made these people this way; can't they let it go? Give 'Bama a break. If any team needs a little slack cut for them, it would be Alabama.

It isn't fair and needs to be changed as soon as possible. This type of intentional scheduling to wear down a particular team should not be tolerated.

If anyone cares, I created another helmet schedule this year:
