🏈 You be the ref...you throwing a flag on this one, or just letting it play out?

If you go by the rule and the wording, a player isn't supposed to do anything that would bring attention to himself and away from the game. Penalty should've been thrown.

Snowball's chance in Hell of having a flag thrown against UCF. Temple had 150 yards in penalties. UCF had 50. Not to mention the bad calls in UCF's favor.

I don't know which was the dirtiest sorry ass pos group. The UCF team or the AAC officials.

I was watching this last night as it happened. I IMMEDIATELY said that should have been a flag, but the ref just mouthed it to him instead. But, my disdain was more for UCF than the actual punter doing the golf swing... it was a pretty good punt...

Individual celebration not directed at an opposing player. No flag for taunting.
That's the key word in my view, OP. It wasn't directed at an opposing player.

Being an asshat. Throw the flag.
I appreciated the ref telling him to get off the field and letting the game play on. I didn't not appreciate the "showboating."
I agree here. I think the ref could have been just a little more assertive as they do in endzone. "Get off the field son... If you do that again you'll be flagged"

My first thought was that the ref was so taken back by an effing punter acting so stupid that he probably laughed.
