Former Alabama wide receiver enters NCAA transfer portal

A former Alabama wide receiver has entered the NCAA transfer portal.

Xavian Marks, a senior for the Crimson Tide last season, has been granted an extra year of eligibility by the NCAA and went into the transfer portal on Thursday, AL.com has learned.

Marks is set to graduate from Alabama in May and will join another team as a graduate transfer, according to a source.

A member of Alabama’s 2015 recruiting class, Marks saw action as a returner and reserve wide receiver during his time with the Tide. The Rosenberg, Texas native returned a punt for a touchdown as a sophomore in 2016 and was then Alabama’s primary punt returner for a portion of 2017.

Hopefully Troy makes a run at him. Hell of a return man, if he could just hang on to the ball, and I think he could have been a good slot receiver if not for all the five stars in front of him.

Demetrius Hart was a little fellow that never could get his game off the ground. Went to Colorado State and had a nice finish.
It was more of a case where he couldn't get off of the ground. Summer of 2011, ACL. Fall of 2012, another knee injury and he's out for the season. In '13 when he's back he's behind TJ and even with Derrick.

Dee had a really tough time at Bama.

I remember and he also got arrested with the wacky weed a few months before he transferred. He also stayed healthy with the Rams and ran for almost 1300 yards and 16 TDs. I was wondering what he would look like if he could stay healthy. He was actually their bell cow and a pretty good workhorse. Then he turned around and left the program for the NFL after one great season and never got drafted. What a weird career.
