šŸˆ Williams moving up on McShay's draft boards

I’m of the opinion it is a benefit to our guys that are moving to the league, that they get to play in the last game of the season. Get to leave the most recent game speed impression on the scouts. Except for the year we got donkey stomped by Clemson. But most years this gives those guys a chance to up their stock.

Always wonder about that clemson game...something wasnt right!

Clemson had a very mature, senior laden team that year. Several stayed for Sr year vs coming out for the draft. We had our typical revolving door of players looking to leave and coaches on the move. Biggest factor was chasing the Oklahoma QB for 4 quarters in the Miami heat and humidity. So yes CNS was looking for a better way of team conditioning.

we were gassed in that game.
100 plays will do that to you. That Bama team is still in my eyes the best team Saban has had especially on Defense. Of course the offense of late are more potent than that team. The D was lights out which is what still blows me away about that game. Future NFL players all over the D side of the ball.

Went back n watched....
Was wierd....
The pick 6 hurt...fake FG....got inside 10 couple times...no points....most all staff leaving...

Had bama scouted really good...

Still ...something was strange about game..

Was what bama does to others ....

we were predictable on offense all season long. we had little telltale here and there. Take away 2 INTs.. and commited to run little more, Game would be close.

It still would have been hard to beat them that night, because their receivers were incapable of dropping a pass. Everyone kissed Lawrence's butt, but it was Ross and Higgins that made him look WAY better than he was. Their catch radius that night was unreal. Add in the one handers and catches I don't think I ever saw them make their remaining two or three years, and it was just a game we weren't gonna win.

Our DB falling down at the snap didn't help either...

It was a voodoo night and Clemson sold their soul to win that game... they haven't been the same ever since. Time to pay the piper...

Wrong game! You are thinking of the game in Tampa Hurts’ freshman year. We couldn’t convert a 3rd down and Clemson ran a pick play at the end to win it. ā€˜18 game was in California. Was Tosh in over his head, Golding took over? Locksley headed to Maryland, Enos bailing and Gattis looking as well. That game was such a cluster!!

Yeah I was thinking you were talking the 2016 game not the one where they took us to the woodshed.
