I think it would be a nice gesture. CNS may very well do that for a few plays in a series and then again later in the game to bring him off the field for fan applause.
With the short week before the IB, I would suspect most of the starters to be out not long after the 3rd quarter begins.
With the IB being on Friday, an extra day of rest should help before the SECCG.
I don't see Saban a "nice gesture" kind of guy when it comes to football. I think we go out there with #22 and go about business as usual (for a while anyway).

I know what you guys mean by taking care of business. Notice I said it would be a nice gesture didn't say he would or wouldn't. It could depend on the number of Little debbies he gets to eat that morning. No one knows.
Is there anything in your mind that could happen to give UTC a fighting shot Saturday?
Frierson: If Nick Saban suspended every starter for the game, the Mocs might have a shot. Actually, he might need to sit every player on the two-deep roster. Coleman is an SEC-caliber quarterback, or will be by the time he's a senior, but the talent difference at every other position is just too great. The Mocs lost to Oklahoma 57-2 in last season's opener and I'm expecting a similar result Saturday.
