🏈 why did Green play in A-Day

seems like putting your kid on restriction for a week and letting them go outside and play the next day? If he did something bad enough to be out for a year you'd think it would be bad enough to be out for a scrimage. Give the guys who are actually gonna play this year a few more snaps.

Well, it wasn't Saban that put the restriction on him, it was the NCAA. Nobody knows what he did. All I've heard is that people around the program feel that the NCAA gave Green a raw deal and that they're still trying to find a way to get him some eligibility this year. I'm sure the coaches know what they're doing.

This! Based on what I've read and inferred on my own Saban isn't exactly in agreement with the NCAA on this one.

We all know Saban doesn't give mixed signals and/or play favorites. Green playing on A-day sends a message. The NCAA can control who Saban is allowed to play on any given Sat. but not any given Monday, Tuesday, Wed., etc....

Think Todd Bates.

Is there a better way?

Is there a better way to say to him,

Keep your head up.
Don't give up, we have not.

He has had a tough blow, give him something to look forward.
Saban does what is best for the player and the team.
So this was best for the player and the team.

If Green was punished by the NCAA on a technicality that he didnt understand or was not aware of it would be wrong to shun the kid. I think Saban has his best interest as a person in mind. Being a member of and participating as part of the team could be crucial for this young mans future, forget about what happens on the field. He will need the lessons he is learning now for much longer than he is on a football field.

I have trust in Saban that he is doing what is best for this young man.
