I think it's Tebow.
I can't justify it but that's how I see the ''popular vote'' go for the hypesman.

Darren McFadden, RB, Arkanasas Best player in the game right now. Sure Tebow can throw but he's is no D-mac. Didn't Dmac and boys take out #1 LSU?

I voted Tebow too. I heard a stat today that not only was he responsible for 97% of UF's passing offense, he also ran for 36% of its rushing yards.

The first player ever in the SEC to rush for over 20 TDs and pass for over 20 TDs in the same season.

I know McFadden is a great RB, but without Tebow, Florida would be so screwed.

DMac wins in my opinion, yeah Tebow is good but hes only a soph. I dont ever remember a soph winning the Heisman Theres not a better back in college football than DMac, hes the best ive seen since Bo and Hershal Walker. But then we all know its not about whos best, its a beauty contest and always has been.

BTW, "great RB" is the king of understatements.

This logic also works for D-Mac's case.

Without him, Arkansas is an abysmal team.

There are other Quarterbacks who deserve the Heisman more than Tebow, but Florida would be decent without him. Arky can't survive without McFadden. Felix Jones is a good back, but he's only a slasher type.

D-Mac is the best player in college football and has the potential to be one of the greatest of all time.

I voted Tebow because who WILL win it.
If I voted for who SOULD win it it would be DMac.

In terms of who SHOULD win it, it is easy to make a case for Colt Brennan. He is a freak QB. If I were an NFL team wanting a QB, I would take him over Tebow in a heartbeat...he is a much better pure passer and it will not take many options or QB draws in the NFL for Tebow to be on the IR. The protection he gets at Hawaii is not great and he still picks people apart.

The Sugar Bowl is the game I am most interested in.

Tebow will win it because there is just so much hype about him, and he is the real deal.

DM was awesome and is amazing, but no one really cares what he is doing.

Colt Brennan was made by his system I think, and he seems to throw weird to me anyway

i believe Mr. Tebow will win it, but i think McFadden deserves it. the guy is incredible, with little to NO help on that team he pretty much threw him on his back and lead them to 8 wins. and hes done it all 3 seasons hes been at Arkansas. i think there something to be said for that.

IF this were left up to the past Heisman winners, I can see it being McFadden all the way. With 870 members of the press voting it's a "who the hell knows scenario."

In a way, this reminds me of the voting between Peyton and Woodson. Most felt Peyton *should* win it, but Woodson ended up making the pose.

I really don't *follow* the Heisman balloting in detail. That said, I can't think of another situation where the two leading candidates were both from the SEC.

'45 was an interesting year with the top two being from Army.

'67 was also with the winner from UCLA and the second place going to a player from USC. Nebraska vs OU in '72. PSU vs OSU in '73.

I really hope DMac wins it...but I have a feeling the popular vote still is with Tebow.

On another note as far as qbs are concerned I think CB is a better qb and should also get it before Tebow, but this is a popularity contest now.

:(

I hate both parts of that argument. If that was the case, CB would win it hands down for what he's "done" for three years. This is the 2007 Heisman Trophy. This isn't the 2005-2007 Heisman Trophy.

Heard of Felix Jones? Averaging 9.1 yards a carry. Would start at any other school in the SEC, and maybe in the country. 1100+ yards, 11 TDs rushing. 31.3 kick return average. Heck, even CASEY DICK is having a solid year. 18 TDs-9 INTS. 130 passer rating. Saying he has no help is arguable.

yea Colt Brennan has had a great career at a school who plays what, 2 decent teams a year? and a school that always has a QB with ridiculous passing numbers?! come on man.

yea, Felix Jones is a good RB but imo he would not have the numbers he has w/o McFadden being there. come on, Casey Dick? just no. McFadden played QB prolly as much as Dick did, the guy did it all. run, pass, catch, return kicks. he put that damn team on his back. especially with Marcus Monk out for most of the year, and when he came back he wasnt very effective.

Both qbs use a system to give them numbers(see Chris Leak). Do not see how special either one of them are as far as that is concerned. Dmac get my vote but I will say this once again...Tebow will get it because of the market.

Man you guys love to pick apart stuff that is not there...was not even saying Cb was super human qb, but Tebow is far from it as well. IT IS THE SYSTEM they both are in...same with Dmac. Teams use them to score but I still think Dmac is the best athlete.

If ESPN has anything to say about it, Tebow will win. How many of his 20 TD runs were five yards or less? Anytime UF got that deep, there was no doubt who would be carrying the football. He is a load as a runner, but not necessarily the best player in college football. I voted for Tebow, but give me DMac.
