🏈 What's up with the sidewalks

The sidewalks along the sides of the field (inside the stadium) have been ripped up? Wonder what they are doing? Anybody know?

Every other surface of the stadium has been changed it seems, there it no reason why they can not upgrade the sidewalks as well. Between brick pavers and textured/colored concrete options, it could be interesting to see what happens when it gets done.

Brick pavers are taking the place of the concrete and brick columns and wrought iron is taking the place of the chainlink fence.

Work is also under way to replace the chain link fence that ran down the sidelines at field level with a new wrought iron fence.[/FONT] [FONT=times new roman,serif]He said the concrete apron will also be replaced with bricking. All will be complete by the Sept. 4 home opener against San Jose State[/FONT].

Indeed, good find Haridiman.

Those changes will make a big visual difference. It strikes me that Coach Bryant likely would not recognize the stadium now if he were standing at mid field.

Since his passing everything one can see from that spot has changed. Four upperdecks, the press box, the location of the lockerrooms, the lighting, the scoreboards, the turf, and now the fence and sidewalks.

I like it.

Hay RammerJammer can you post pics that they've posted on facebook; I don't have a facebook account (nor will I), and I've been trying to find a rendering or pictures of progress for weeks since you can't see that on the webcam? I wished they would have installed a webcam in the interior of the stadium too like Michigan has for their stadium expansion. I've got rendering of my own I did of what it could look like that I'll post at some point this week (my signature down below is a rendering that I drew), but it would be cool to see what exactly the University has planned.
