No question about it, the iron bowl is bigger......

The Iron Bowl by far. I've never understood the draw of the UGAly/UF "rivalry". Yes its a huge party, but a party doesnt make a rivalry. It makes an event.

I have never heard it even mentioned in the biggest rivalry discussions. Army/ Navy, Bama/Auburn, Ohio St/ Mich, ND/USC, Cal/Stanford, Yale/Harvard, and Texas/ Oklahoma are typically tops in that discussion.

I'd add UGA/Auburn in there before UF/UGA.

No Contest...

C'mon.. man..... this doesn't even deserve a response but here it is.......... NO CONTEST! BAMA/AU is tops. Anyone who disagrees has just doesn't get it!

I'm sure to hear fans of one those two teams tell it, that IS the biggest rivalry. I'd have to disagree.

Iron Bowl hands down a bigger rivalry!

I was born and raised 2 hours from Jacksonville. The JawJa/Fl game is a big Rivalry to those teams but not as big as the Iron Bowl. A cocktail party it is. It is more like our Third Saturday in October. Many Ga fans will tell you the Iron bowl is bigger, unless they have been drinking white lightning from Savannah.

Jawja fired a coach because he lost to GaTech. The GA/FL game has been more important in recent years.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

I think maybe yall are right, it did seem more like a "party" atmosphere than a Rival game. I would at least say it is the more popular of the two..as far as being discussed on the national media circuit, where as the Iron Bowl is more of an in state event.

It's not even close. People have been shot, stabbed and beat up over the Iron Bowl. There is not a more bitter rivalry in sports anywhere.

really?? shot???thats crazy. I went a couple of years ago and found it pleasant. I did see a few tussals but that seems to be anywhere you have folks passionate about football and drunk.

Considering that FSU/BAMA drew the most people in the history of the Gator Bowl last year......hard to prop up UGA/UF

I know one guy that was shot and killed back in the 80s cause of that game.

"Most discussed" is the key phrase here. And, it has been the last few years.

The UGA vs UF game has become a small rivalry. When you consider UF has won all but 4 of the last 19 meetings I don't know where you would rate it on "meaningful games."

You have to remember, before Spurrier's arrival in Gainesville UF was another Vanderbilt kind of contest. That is less than two decades ago.

Take that, versus the Alabama vs Auburn game having SEC implications dating back over a half of a century and it's no contest...Alabama forum or not.

The only rivalry that i know of that's bigger than Alabama vs barn is the ny yankees and the boston redsox.
