Saban stats...

2006 6-6, lost to Auburn (with Shula)
2007 6-6, lost to Auburn (with Saban)
2007 0-11, Miami Dolphins with Saban's players

Year 1 (LSU) - 4 losses
Year 2 (LSU) - 3 losses
Year 3 (LSU) - 5 losses
Year 4 (LSU) - 1 loss (Nat'l Champions)
Year 5 (LSU) - 4 losses

Yep that proves it, Saban obviously sucks. We're doomed. Your point is made... Now run along.

Why do we have to be turds? Classy.

I date a diehard ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE FAN / GRAD and I am glad she doesn't call me a "turd."

Good luck in recruiting our "turd" players from LA. I try to root for ALA. when it's not against LSU, but I guess I'll keep my "turd" self on one side of that fence and hope our "turd" HS players stay away.

Was reading today about Destrehan HS (14-0) who has a few of these "turd" players getting ready to play for a 5A State Championship next week and then some hard line decisions will have to be made about where they will attend...hope they don't read Alabama msg boards.

** REMINDER, OH BY THE WAY...about Saban (whom I don't love or dislike one way or other)

Saban stats...

2006 6-6, lost to Auburn (with Shula)
2007 6-6, lost to Auburn (with Saban)
2007 0-11, Miami Dolphins with Saban's players

Year 1 (LSU) - 4 losses
Year 2 (LSU) - 3 losses
Year 3 (LSU) - 5 losses
Year 4 (LSU) - 1 loss (Nat'l Champions)
Year 5 (LSU) - 4 losses

I wish I could have been a turd in my first post too!

Dude, your stats make ZERO sense. Not that I really expected you to be good at math.

What does the 2006 Shula season have to do with Saban?

2007 Miami Dolphins " Saban's players" ?
Your knowledge of football leaves alot to be desired if you truly believe the Miami Dolhpins are "Saban's players". That is laughable and sad.

Just hang in there. The 5th grade can be a tough place but you can do it!!

Skew, I'm a Bama fan that has had to suffer the slings and arrows of LSU disdain for the last few years and especially since Bama hired Saban. I am one who, not only has always tried to pull for LSU, I actually had season tickets back during the Archer-Hallman-Dinardo years ;pu .

Any derogatory descriptions put on LSU folks by anyone here is based on personal experience with obnoxious fans.

Like Biff Grub said, your post about Saban's stats, one year of which doesn't belong to him, makes no sense. Over and over we've been told that, while many of LSU's players were Saban's, Les Miles had to coach 'em. Well, while some (not many) Dolphin players were drafted by Saban, the present head coach still has to coach 'em.

It never ceases to amaze me. Saban was the greatest thing since sliced bread at LSU even after he left and Miles, it was said, wasn't a good coach. Then, Saban signed with Bama, and suddenly Saban is Satan, and Les hung the moon. But, now, when it looked like Les might leave, he was suddenly a bad coach again, and LSU people were talking about getting Saban back. They obviously can't make up their minds on which coach they like best.

We'll keep Saban; y'all keep Miles. We'll see what the future holds.

I don't go to other forums so I was wondering what the LSU turds are saying about their 'beloved' Miles ditching them like last nights date for a 'better' program.

IDK if I'd call it a better program, but it is where he played college football right?

You dont think Michigan is a better program than LSU, Michigan is actually considered the best coaching job in football.
No, that would be Bama! :P

Let's be realistic. Do you really think we are considered the best coaching job?

Didn't you guys lose to Monroe? By the way, if you didn't catch it, Miles isn't leaving. I see Alabama has some trash talking, no class fans just like we do in Louisiana.

Most teams in the SEC should be happy he is staying. Trust me. We are. :D

As far as the trash talking...what do you suppose you are doing.... ^^TR

Trash talking is when you go to someone else's board and mouth off. This is a Bama board, and here we say what we think, just like they do on TigerDroppings, TigerForums, and the other LSU boards. If you don't like it, leave.

Good. We get to see how Piles handles his team and his new F#$%@!g rival in Alabama. He's a goofball that's winning despite his coaching ability. Pelini is gone.

I'm glad the idiot is staying. I still won't believe it until he signs the papers though!

Bama fans will surely enjoy the moment way more then beating some other coach LSU would have hired. Same thing goes for Tubby! Revenge is really sweet!

Dezz, I wouldn't call Less an idiot. I'd just say that the overtime system is flawed, but that it's great. And in all honesty, it's the best that it can be and probably correct. I would just say that when Less talks, people listen (for all the wrong reasons).

The guy is a moron. I'm proud to have him around in the SECW for a while.

I'm starting to like Les. He's like that crazy uncle at Christmas. You never know what he's going to do -- he's as likely to as pour the punch bowl all over himself as he is to likely to get drunk and slug your mom! LOL!

Herbstreet needs to be held accountable. He's nothing more than a rumor starting media Monger..

That statement lacks merit on some many levels I'm shocked it's even thrown out there.

Herbie has never been one to just throw things out there. He wasn't starting a rumor as you have insinuated. He had his sources that indicated the deal was in place.

I challenge you to find another instance he's stepped out and said something according to one of his sources where you can describe it as "rumor mongering."

Fact is, in one of the two schools, someone was informing ESPN's reporters that there was going to be a deal in place this week.

To me, it is not surprising that LSU may get a shot at the NC. They are a great team despite Miles being a complete fraud on so many levels.

His post game presser continues to prove his idiocy. He talked more reverence to Meecigan than his own team. (How disrepectful can you be)

When he opens his mouth, you think Oh God...what retarded thing is he going to say today!

I am going to have to totally agree with Terry on this one. By and by Kirk has shown himself to be one of the more credible and unbiased personalities at ESPN. He is frequently insightful and often correct.

Whomever told Kirk that will probably not be used a source by him for a while. Again, like Terry said, I would like to see any other time where KH said something that backfired. Yes he might have a little egg on his face now but it does not change the fact (for me) that he is good at what he does.

Well,
Maybe Herbstreet will REVEAL his RELIABLE Source to us. I would if I were him... These media types that keep running with these rumors need to be held accountable.. Plain and simple. Why not just report the facts when you can back it with 100% accuracy. These kind of premature statements do nothing but damage to ball teams and can upset their fans tremendously.. Everyone in the media is just trying to beat the other one with the BIG STORY.. They're all the same, some just worse than others.. :? :)

IF you were him, and you did reveal who your sources were, you'd be out of a job in a heartbeat. I have a very good suspicion on who shared the news with him. And, as I have stated here on more than one occasion I suspect it is someone linked to one of the Athletic Departments. (Use your deductive reasoning and you should be able to figure it out.)

They are not all in the same boat as you've mentioned here. It takes years to develop friendships with sources and Kirk has moved in the college football arena for a long, long time.

One thing is certain. We don't know that this story is over.

One last comment. You mention reports like this damage teams? I assume, you are considering that the report damaged the LSU team in some manner? Fact is, the reports about Miles to Michigan started weeks ago on SEC circles, before the season in Big10 circles. One fact is inescapable. Miles tirade yesterday only accomplished one thing. It has proven the time at LSU hasn't changed his character in the slightest. He lets his mouth outweigh his judgment.
