šŸˆ GAME THREAD WEEK THREE: NCAA/SEC games ...

A. Two-Team Tie

  1. Head-to-head competition between the two tied teams.
  2. Winning percentage of the tied teams within the division.
  3. Head-to-head competition versus the team within the division with the best overall winning-percentage (divisional and non-divisional), and proceeding though the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last using the league’s tie-breaking procedures.
  4. Overall winning percentage versus all common non-divisional opponents.
  5. Combined winning percentage versus all non-divisional opponents.
  6. Winning percentage versus common non-divisional opponents based upon their order of finish (overall conference winning percentage) and proceeding through other common non-divisional opponents based upon their order of finish within the division.
  7. The tied team with the higher ranking in the full Bowl Championship Series Standings following the conclusion of regular season games. If both tied teams are not ranked in the full Bowl Championship Series Standings, the computer ranking portion of the Standings will be used, eliminating the high and the low computer ranking, and averaging the remaining rankings.
  8. The representative shall be chosen by a draw as administered by the Commissioner or Commissioner’s designee.

B. Three (or More) Team Tie
(Three team (or more) tiebreaker procedure will be used to break all ties to identify the Championship game representative. Once a team is eliminated from the tie, the tie-breaking procedures restart for the remaining teams. If the three (or more) team tie can only be reduced to two teams, the two-team tiebreaking procedure will then be applied).

  1. Combined head-to-head winning percentage among the tied teams.
  2. Winning percentage of the tied teams within the division.
  3. Head-to-head competition versus the team within the division with the best overall (divisional and non-divisional) Conference winning percentage, and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken fi rst to last, using the league’s tie-breaking procedures.
  4. Combined winning percentage versus all common non-divisional opponents.
  5. Combined winning percentage versus all non-divisional opponents.
  6. Winning percentage versus common non-divisional opponents based upon their order of finish (overall conference winning percentage) and proceeding through other common non-divisional opponents based upon their divisional order of finish.
  7. The tied team with the highest ranking in the full Bowl Championship Series Standings following the conclusion of regular season games, unless the second of the tied teams is ranked within five-or-fewer places of the highest ranked tied team. In this case, the two-team tiebreaking procedure shall be applied between the top two ranked tied teams. If all tied teams are not ranked in the full Bowl Championship Series Standings, the computer ranking portion of the Standings will be used, eliminating the high and the low computer ranking, and averaging the remaining rankings.
  8. The representative shall be chosen by a draw as administered by the Commissioner or Commissioner’s designee.

Combined head-to-head winning percentage among the tied teams.

That's confusing to me.

You looked at the ACC divisional tie-breaker rules?

Been meaning to do that. I have now. I suspect it would go to the seventh tie-breaker, in which case the Houston-Louisville game would probably decide the issue.

Three-Team (or More) Team Tie:
(Once a team is eliminated from the tie, the tie-breaker procedures restart for the remaining teams. If the three (or more) team tie can be reduced to two teams, the two-team tiebreaker format will then be applied.)
1. Combined head-to-head win percentage among the tied teams.
2. Win percentage of the tied teams within the division.
3. Head-to-head competition versus the team within the division with the best overall (divisional and non-divisional) Conference win percentage, and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken fi rst to last, using the league’s tie-breaker policies.
4. Combined win percentage versus all common nondivisional opponents.
5. Overall win percentage versus non-divisional opponents.
6. Win percentage versus common non-divisional opponents based upon their order of fi nish (overall win percentage) and proceeding through other common non-divisional opponents based upon their divisional order of fi nish.
7. The tied team with the highest ranking by the Team Rating Score metric provided by SportSource Analytics following the conclusion of regular season games.
8. The representative shall be chosen by a draw as administered by the Commissioner or the Commissioner’s designee.

That's confusing to me.

That would be .500 for all three in my scenario. All three at 1-1 in head to head competition. BTW, the procedure has been updated . Yours is from the BCS days.

Booger McFarland: Danny Etling Needs To Start Or The Team Will Quit On Les Miles

Well, Urban Meyer just came out and verified what some have suspected since his Gator meltdown. He just acknowledged his anxiety disorder and bouts of depression. Since the 2012 NC game, I've been somewhat curious as to why Miles would not try plan B when plan A has got you 92 total yards in the biggest game of your life. The final answer may be as simple as watching him stubbornly put Harris back at QB even when Etling is producing and risk losing the team and what's left of his BOT (S) support. "Mad hatter" indeed.

Wow, what a crazy turnover. Houston goes HUNH, drives down the field in a few plays, turns the ball over (see video below) and Cincy kicks a FG to tied it up 10-10 at half.

Thought for sure Houston was gonna score and they turned it over like that. Cincy has left some points on the field.
