and saw 2 different vehicles with Bama stuff on them. Cool and doesn't happen much here in Arky. Also a few months ago I met a guy in Toys R Us who noticed my Bama shirt and came and talked to me for a bit. Then happened to be behind him in line at Micky D's the other day. He pulled over when he saw Bama on my car and recognized me. Apparently he knows some other Bama fans in the area and is planning to have some game day get togethers at his house next season and asked if my family would be interested in coming. Well, of course. Watching Bama football with other people who aren't Arky fans? Heck yeah!!!

I've been to the Waffle house in Ft. Smith off I-40 @ 2:30 in the morning. Wish i could have seen it in daylight.
But i know your feeling. I saw an Alabama Lic. Plate in the central Valley in California when i lived in Modesto.
I couldn't belive it. then it dawned on me that the truck i was driving still had bama plates. Duuuuuuuu. lol
As for Bama fans...not one. Everyone Knew about out team...But when the dept. Sheriff next door came over to watch
the Iron Bowl with me that year.....1st thing out of his mouth was....." hey dude isn't that Auburn School in Georgia?"

no kidding.

if ya don't got Bama fans where you are....ya just gota convert some. lol what i did. oh and happy birthday.

I can't remember the last day that I went without seeing a Bama tag or Bama clothing out in town - Tampa, Florida.

The most unusual place that I have had that happen was seeing a guy wearing an Bama polo while walking through the 600 year old Bazaar in Manama, Bahrain (a small island Kingdom in the Arabian Gulf). He had an equally odd moment when from among all the Arabic voices came "Roll Tide".

Bahrain isn't as foriegn as a deep south Waffle House at 2:30 in the morning, but it was undoubtedly unique.

And another thing...HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLIE

Thanks guys! :-)
Bama stuff is rare around here. We only see pigs in Arky. Well, that and OU stuff. I did see one Bama tag earlier today though. We see a lot more since the NC...kind of like what happened with Florida over the past few years.

Hmmm...no Waffle House IN Ft. Smith off of I-40. I think there's one in Van Buren. I-40 bypasses Ft. Smith...maybe I-540? If so, we live just a few blocks away.

I see Bama shirts/gear/tags on a daily basis here in the area I'm in here in Ga. Of course there's a lot more to be seen now that Alabama won the NC. Which I figured would happen. Funniest thing is now I see a lot more of the house divided tags now and they're always BAMA/UGA! I guess UGA fans got to pull for somebody since Richt is doing such a jamb-up job up in Athens!

Happy belated Birthday Allie!

Girl that was MANY moons ago. Was on a trip to Colorado....and i had been driving since 2:30 that day. With no sleep the night before. I left the Entech gas station in Millbrook just N. of Montgomery @ 2:30 PM Thurs. afternoon. By 2:30 Fri. Afternoon Mtn time i was in Aurora, Co 25 hrs latter with 8 more hours to go to get to Craig, Co up by Steamboat Springs. And had to drive through a blizzard over the mtns. Got lost in the snow storm. all total i drove 32 hrs straight with out stopping except for gas, which i would eat and take a poty break. So the whole trip out there was a blurr. But i distinctly remember being some where in/or near Ft. Smith @ a waffle house. I also remember driving 110mph across the muscogee turnpike in the middle of the night. Needless to say....i took my time comming home. 32 hrs on the drive out 2 1/2 days to get back. got snowed in on i-70 in Denver/Aurora for the night. Which was cool cause i lived in Aurora for over a year 1/2. so i got to hook up with some old friends.

FYI: the only waffle house i know of west of texas....Aurora, Colorado. After that good luck finding a good plate of grits anywhere!

Here in central Illinois it is rare to see Bama fans but I do see a jeep driving around from time to time that has a Bama tire cover, never met the person though.

One day I was shopping for shoes and I hear a roll tide as I was wearing a Bama fleece. The guy comes up with his wife and he's wearing a Bama hat signed by Eli Gold, apparently he was from Birmingham who was not in town working for State Farm, and goes to a couple games a year.
